Great tool for mushroom foraging
This mushroom knife/brush worked well for mushroom foraging. The curved blade is not razor sharp, but good for cutting boletes and other ground fungi. The point of the blade helped flick off little sligs or bugs and get into the mosses or awkward spaces where mushrooms can grow. The blade hinge is a simple open/close with no spring or locking mechanism, but is is stiff enough not to easily close unexpectedly. The brush is helpful for brushing away dirt and debris. It comes with a decent water repellent case which has a belt loop and velcro closure. The knife worked great for my husband and me. Lots of mushrooms this year!

Great mushroom knife
I bought this for my fiancé and he absolutely loves it. He is big into hunting mushrooms. He is even more excited to go mushroom hunting now with his new knife. It is well made and light weight. It even comes with a nice little pouch.

The knife is great but the bag it came with is ok
The knife is great but the bag it came with is ok, I don't think it looks much like the bag in the photo, so I would have just gotten a knife alone. Still quality products just wanted a better style bag.

Great Service from this shop
All the way from England land, and way sooner than expected! Great Service from this shop! And though the bag is a bit smallish, the knife is even a little better in the hand than the one that got here first, and I love that one a whole lot. So there will be A Whole Lotta Love with this in my pocket when I'm gathering the morels in a few weeks. Maybe I'd better get to the cabin early.

a mushroomers knife.
This is the second time I have bought this knife for my father. He lost the first one while out hiking and searching for mushrooms. It must be a great mushrooming knife because he was pretty sad when he lost the first one and ecstatic when he got it again, lol. He considers himself a mushroom expert. So if you love the world of mushrooms and the gathering of them and you need a good knife, this could be the one for you!

Nice tool, well designed for purpose
Nice tool, well designed for purpose. Could have a little longer and sharper blade with better steel and perhaps a brush that folds away or tucks into tool.

The Good and the bad
The good is the Mushroom knife is fine. The Bad is, after 11 years and never having show age verification they are now asking for it, breaking guidelines on social distancing. This is relevant to the product as any sharp product means you now have to get close enough to a driver to prove your age. I’m over 50 with a white beard and Amazon have my age or I wouldn’t have been able to purchase the item. I have spoken to management about the fact they’ve put me at risk because of a new policy.

Just buy knife.
Great tool, good price although I can’t get on with the bag, personal preference for something a little more sturdy or better shape.

Watch your fingers!
The media could not be loaded. Only received this today, but cut a cardboard kitchen towel tube fairly easily, so sharpness seems fine. The measuring markers do look like they'd rub off easily like other reviewers have mentioned (wondering if it's worth spoiling the wood with nail varnish to keep them). The pouch is really handy and had a popper clip for belts.Bristles are sadly synthetic, but fine for the price. But, and a big BUT! Watch your fingers when you close down the blade as it has a good 'snap'.Overall, great value. Only let down is synthetic bristles, uncontrollable blade closure and markers rubbing off... But for under £20 this definitely gets top marks. Now to go foraging and seen many folk coming across Chicken of the Woods at the moment (this arrived on a Friday and a couple of weeks before planned delivery, so will give it an outing this weekend!)

The knife seems fine.
The bag has short straps and inflexible compartments, making it of limited serviceability. The knife seems fine.
