Got flow? Get these.
I’ve always had a heavy flow, but perimenopause has ramped that up to a nearly unmanageable degree. It’s like my body decided that when it’s gonna have a period it needs to make up for the months when it didn’t have one. Ten day long flow? Check. Bleeding through a super plus absorbency tampon in half an hour? Also check. After many years of using a menstrual cup, I can’t anymore because my output volume causes overflow situations. Back to tamponswe go. These ultra absorbency Tampax Pearl tampons are a must, along with period underwear and a well-stocked maxi pad arsenal. Yep, I use all three together and still end up in the bathroom every couple hours. Such is life as a perimenopausal woman. Local stores don’t seem to recognize that ultra absorbency is a must for some of us, so I buy them here. They are what they are - really big, maximally absorbent tampons - but they do what they’re meant to do, and that’s all I ask of them. Now if my body could just make up its mind about how long this change is gonna take, that would be great, m’kay?

WHY are these not sold in Stores everywhere!
These are lifesavers! After having kids, my periods became extremely heavy. Regular or Super Tampax tampons barely held the dam back and I always leaked. I got the Super Plus which was better but then I saw that Tampax had Ultra! I have never seen Ultra at any store. These are like having 2 Super tampons together. They absorb so much! These are the only ones I can use overnight on my first 2 heavy days. These also are the only ones I feel I can use while exercising or doing any physical activities. I just can’t live without these now!

Great for replacing Super Plus Kotex ones
If you used to buy the SUPER PLUS Kotex tampons (that are no longer available), these are the next best option. For a super heavy flow, these work great for jogging, kayaking, hiking, etc. I was glad to find these since I don't like to feel uncertain about how my period coverage will go. Zero doubts with these ones.

They're tampons. What do you want from me here?
They're tampons friends. They do their job for those of us looking to avoid a murder scene in our pants for an hour or two than most other products. I dunno. If you're buying these things, it's because you have to, not because you want to.

Must have for heavy periods
A must have for heavy periods. Feel like it holds a lot more than a super plus

Compare with Playtex Ultra Tampon
I have tried this product and Playtex Simply Gentle Glide Tampons, Ultra Absorbency, Fragrance-Free. Both work for heavy flows, but neither is perfect, and I prefer this one.TampaxPros: The tube has a decent design, and it is easy to push the tampon in, though it could still be improved to make the process smoother. The tip of the tube is round, yet it might be better if it were sharper, like the narrow side of an oval. The tube is well-made, has no sharp edges, is sturdy, and wouldn't fall apart. The tip of Tampax's tube has six leaves, making the leaves of Tampax a closer fit between each other, creating no sharp edges.Cons: The real shortcoming is that it would become quite wide after use due to its cylindrical shape and cause a little discomfort while pulling out. The tube is too wide, too. In addition, the thread is a bit rough. It could be thinner like Kotex's.PlaytexPros: Easy to pull out after use thanks to its cone shape. The tube is narrower than Tampax. The thread is also finer.Cons: The push-in process is not as smooth as Tampax because of the tube's poor design and manufacturing. It only has four roughly-made leaves at the tip, creating sharp edges and causing pain while pushing in. As you can see in the photo, sometimes the tip is uneven. The tube falls apart while using it, causing inconvenience, especially when you are not at home.
