my flat has the worst broad band in history
my flat has the worst broad band in history. think 14.4 with a gerbil wheel for a power source, every time it rains the gerbil sleeps and poof no internet. I also live in a cellular dead zone. Enter this guy! Bought this, and this antena:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HQ2E8IY/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_19Once I redid my account and got everything hooked up, I did a bandwidth test inside the house and with the antena, I was getting 30MB down/25MB up, with the antenna and when I ran the test, I got no signal in the house with the box. I have been able to get signal on and off in the house since then. After that? I just route all my calls over wifi, and I can which between rodent broadband or roadrunner 4g (Meep meep)

Great signal, both transmiting and receiving
I have the new Google Pixel and before I had the droid turbo, service is simply hit or miss at work with both phones. I picked this up so I can leave it in one spot and get constant wi-fi and I am very impressed. It seems to hold signal from the tower much better than either of my phone's have, perhaps partially because it can remain stationary. On top of that I am very impressed with the Wi-Fi footprint and I don't even have it on the high setting. I am looking forward to seeing its capabilities when I get my external antenna in. I would definitely recommend this little beauty to my friends, it's perfect for my needs.

Outdated technology
Don't waste your time on this product. Purchased a plan and everything else that was needed to make this work, but the product's technology itself is so outdated that it was not able to connect to the internet. Had to go to the Verizon store and purchase a newer product that would connect.

Pretty decent
This was an upgrade for me. I don't mind that it is not a touchscreen. The menus throw me for a loop almost always since you have to go to the bottom selection to exit to the main/previous screen. I use this as an alternative to my really bad broadband. I have both running and this definitely runs faster and connects more devices without conflicting. You do need to have signal, so I needed to get an antenna where I am. But when I'm in the city, there's no connection issues. It is fully up to all bars of signal. I don't like how it goes into an inactivity cycle. Meaning at 3 am when my devices are ready to check and run updates/notices, they can't. The device doesn't even show until you go to the device and hit at least the power button. The battery lasts almost two days before needing plugged in. It charges up fairly fast.

Great for running webcam in remote area
I got this to run a Reolink camera in an area that generally has only 1 bar. I am very happy with it. I'm consistently able to connect to my camera remotely. I purchased an external antenna for it which is fantastic. I love that it has inputs for the antenna. I also love that I can leave it plugged in all of the time without it overheating. Also, I don't run A/C in my cabin while I'm away, and this little unit has seemed to hold up very well in the heat inside the cabin.

Hotspot is so slow
It claims to support 4G LTE speeds but at best it has 3G speeds. This is an old model and doesn’t work very well. It’s also a pain to set up and you have to take it to a Verizon store. I could never get the included SIM card to work. I had to buy a new one. Their Verizon plans are $60-$100 a month too. Complete waste of money and I ended up canceling my plan 2 weeks after setting it up but it’s to late to return the device.

The device was easy to set up and works well
The device was easy to set up and works well, and cost less than half of what Verizon charges in their stores. However, Verizon is brain-dead as to their administration. I bought a 2Gb plan and they used up 1.5 of it the first couple days upgrading the firmware. Then when I tried to set up an account their web site wouldn't let me register - because I don't have phone service with them. Three techs haven't been able to set up an account for me. They can't - or won't - text or email me a password, but insist on sending it via US Mail! But I still haven't got it, after 3 requests and 3 promises to mail one over the past month - outrageous!

Happy Camper “Connected“
Awesome, much thanks! I bought mine used; why waste the money for a new one. The unit was a bit scratched and the case was a bit more beat up than I thought. Otherwise, it’s a great unit. I camp and travel extensively and was always forced to use public WiFi. Horrible reception and your just asking to be hacked. Now I can buy the number of gigs I want. Verizon has a great pay as you go. Very happy. The Happy Camper!
