Love it
I love the black background and white numbers/letters of this clock and a lot of other Clock radios or Alarm clock don't have this type of LCD, with others at night you get bright backlight from black background which make it look gray but not this one.Love the projection of it that I can project the time on the ceiling or wall and further the wall is bigger it will get so I actually project it to the wall which is about 12' farther and it look huge and and not too bright either which I like. The clock has 3 different brightness level and I wish it was automatic where day time it would go to max and night time to lowest, also the projector I wish there was option where it would go off daytime and turn on automatically at night but not a big deal I can change it manually if I need to. It's Alarm can be set to wake me up with a radio station or normal alarm that starts alarming with a low volume and slowing increases so it won't scare me in the morning with a very loud alarm from the start. LOL

Clock works great, easy to set up.
This clock was exactly what we wanted. It has a radio with a nice range of volume (very quiet up to very loud), the projection is clear and has two levels of brightness. It can be flipped upside down/right side up depending on where it sits in your room compared to where you want the projection on the ceiling. It has a functioning USB charge port for phones. I haven’t tried it with our iPad mini, but I would assume it would charge also (just maybe at a slower rate?). We do not use the alarm function, it’s for my younger daughter, but we tested it and it seems to work fine. The sleep setting can be modified for the music to turn off after varying lengths of time (I think up to 90 minutes). I am very happy with this purchase. I had bought a similar one off Amazon that had a blue light projection of the time, but the volume level for 1 (the lowest setting) could literally be heard two rooms away. You can check my other reviews to see which one it was. I am very pleased with this clock.

Unncessarily complex
The design of this clock/radio suggests that they had a contest to see who could pack all the necessary functionality into the fewest number of buttons. This is ridiculously complex. For example, if the radio is off, the "Set" button sets the time. If the radio is on, the "Set" button sets the radio presets. I wake up to the radio. In every other clock radio I have had, if you set the alarm to wake up with radio, it simply turns on the radio at the set time to whatever station and volume you have set. With this clock radio, you first need to tune to the radio station you want to wake you, THEN set the alarm time, THEN set the radio volume, THEN hope that it works at alarm time. I wake to an AM station, but I wan never able to set the alarm to the AM station. I followed the instructions in the manual, and also tried similar instructions in the Q&A section on the Amazon website but every time I tried to set the alarm, it always switched from the AM station I was listening to, to an FM station. I'm not technically challenged, so this is very frustrating to me. Even if I were to figure out the alarm issue, most anything I might have to do in the future, such as setting the time, would require a visit to the owner's manual to find out how to do it. There is no need for a clock radio to be that complex.

A nice clock
This is a nice alarm clock. The display is very nice and the projection on the ceiling very clear. You can adjust the brightness of the clock, but cannot do the same with the projection. You can turn the projection off if you want, however.I never use the radio so I can't comment on that, but I can tell you that the beep alarm starts out quietly and gradually gets louder, so it doesn't scare you out of your sleep. I would have given 5 stars but I have 2 issues. 1 isn't really a big deal - it's how you set the alarm. You go thru a menu unlike I've seen on an alarm clock before. On every clock I've owned you basically hold the ALARM button and change the time (just like if you wanted to change the time you would hold TIME button and change time). But on this you go through different screens and press an OK button to make things change. But when turning off the alarm the routine is a little different. Strange. Also, the main reason I bought a new clock is because my old alarm clock had a serious design flaw where if you accidentally pressed another button by mistake while trying to hit snooze, the alarm would turn off. So, if you thought you hit snooze, guess what - you now will oversleep because you turned off the alarm. I though this alarm would be better because the snooze button is nice a big so I wouldn't accidentally hit another button in the dark. However, in the dark it is still difficult to feel the difference between all the buttons on top and they are all the same level, so it is still rather easy to hit the wrong button. Fortunately, on this clock, not ANY button will turn off the alarm, so if you miss the snooze button the alarm will keep sounding. EXCEPT there is 1 or 2 buttons on top that WILL turn of the alarm until tomorrow. So be careful. I will keep using this clock for now but if I can find one with a better design I will replace it. Overall I am pleased for now.

Projector too dim, Died after 3 years
I like the adjustable display brightness, the dimmest level is great for not blinding you when you wake up at night. I just wish the projector brightness was adjustable; it's too faint even when very close (~4 feet). Across the room it's useless. The projector is also missing key indicators like whether the alarm is set. As others have indicated, it doesn't have nearly enough buttons for the features. Most buttons have 2-3 functions depending on mode. They buttons also all feel the same, so it's hard to operate by feel. Finally, the audio amplifier chip (8002 IC) blew out after 3 years, shorting the speaker outputs and making the radio and alarm non-functional. Would not buy again.
