Elegant looking and works well
This set of two taper candle holders and glass covers are very nice looking. The bases are of a heavier weight than I was expecting which makes them seem very solid. Taper candles fit well into the holders and the glass covers fit neatly within the rims of the holders.Since the glass cylinders are a bit shorter than 10", most taper candles (at least the ones I have) start taller than the top of the cylinder. However, sooner or later the flames end up within the confines of the glass. If you were wishing to have the protection of the glass from the start though for the flames of your candles, make sure that your candles are 9" or shorter.The bottom of my holders don't have a velvet felt pad, but instead have black foam pads. Either way, it protects surfaces from scratching.
