LOVE IT!
Iâve had mine for just over a week and am OBSESSED. I really love all the insight and details included regarding heart health, sleep cycles, and exercise. I appreciate the reminders to move, stretch, and get outside. Itâs very easy to set up and navigate the app; it also has a very fast charging speed. I had mine charge for less than an hour and it lasted for nearly a week. I purchased the silver one after trying the ring sized and it fits perfectly. Itâs also incredibly lightweight, comfortable, sleek, and doesnât get in the way while lifting. Iâm so excited to keep learning about and improving my overall health. All the stats and reminders will hold me accountable and inspire me to continue to do better.

Accurate, flexible, reliable
Love my ring!- it matches the same gold tone as other rings, does not scratch easily- I charge my ring every other time I shower, so for a half hour every other day, and with this the battery lasts forever! They must have fixed this bug.- accurate health descriptions. I love how it gives me âringsâ like an Apple Watch to track my movement, heart rate, temperature, sleep quality, and makes it easy to understand my numbers and now I can improve them.- fun to see the social get lag, caffeine measurements, and other things I wouldnât normally track.- no monthly fees!-con: on the app interface only 1 tab is for the ring itself, the other two tabs besides your profile are promoting their metabolic tracker and home purifier. I really wished that the entire app was just for the ring, now a huge advertisement for other products.

Good data, style, and fun to use
The fit is great and matches the testing kit well. After one week of use and high battery usage, the battery life is 4 days. 6 days if I reduce the performance tracking. The sleep tracking has been useful so far and great for giving gentle nudges in the right direction. Browsing the app and adding caffeine, food, activities and browsing health data has also been really fun.My issues are slight. I do question the accuracy of heart rate tracking and questionable VO2 max calculation, but it is still useful as a general indicator of health. The best part of the ring is the HSA fund use.

An experience so far
The experience so farRating: â â â ââ (3/5)Verdict: Ambitious and data-rich, but still feels like a beta product. The Ultrahuman Ring AIR is a sleek, health-focused wearable that offers impressive insights and a visually premium app experience. But while it sounds like the perfect fitness and recovery tracker on paper, real-world performance exposes its inconsistencies, quirks, and growing pains.⸝â What It Does Well⢠Extremely detailed health data: It tracks heart rate, HRV, sleep, recovery, and moreâand explains each metric clearly. Itâs not just data-heavy, itâs educational too.⢠No subscription required (unless you want extras): Unlike Oura or others, you get full access to your health data right out of the box. Ultrahumanâs optional âPower Plugsâ (a.k.a. add-ons) cost $2â$4/month depending on the feature and offer deeper insights without being essential.⢠FSA/HSA eligible: If youâve got leftover HSA/FSA funds, this is a good end-of-year purchase. You can even use those funds on monthly Power Plug subscriptions.⢠Well-designed app: The interface feels high-end and becomes intuitive after a few days. Charts, graphs, and summaries look great and are easy to follow.⢠Quick charging & useful warranty support: I typically charge it while showering in the morning. When my partnerâs ring began dying within 2â3 hours, Ultrahuman replaced it quicklyâthough itâs unclear if that was thanks to the protection plan or internal diagnostics they ran that determined the replacement was needed.⢠UltrahumanX protection plan is fair: It covers lost rings, battery failure, and even resizing if you lose weight. Worth it only if you get the ring on sale (we paid $230 each with stacked discountsâvery fair compared to MSRP).⸝â ď¸ Where It Falls Short⢠Accuracy concerns: Iâve seen heart rate spikes to 172 bpm while sitting, even though my Apple Watch showed a steady 67. Step count is wildly inflated during non-walking workouts like rowingâApple logged 50 steps, while the ring claimed over 1,000.⢠Unreliable sleep tracking: Waking up briefly can reset your sleep record, and some nights it reports only 2 hours of sleep when I clearly got 7+. This skews recovery scores into the red zone, making the insights less useful.⢠Battery life isnât as promised: Ultrahuman advertises 4-6 daysâbut I consistently get 2â3 and half days unless I enable âCritical Powerâ mode. Even the in-app battery test is misleadingâit assumes the length because of trickle charging it daily, which defeats the purpose of true 6-day battery life off one charge.⢠Power modes are poorly optimized: âTurbo,â âChill,â and âCritical Powerâ sound greatâbut switching between them takes over a minute. Chill mode only disables one feature and barely extends battery life, while Critical Power mode helps significantly but cuts off most functions.⢠Slow syncing: Syncing data often takes 5+ minutes, even when the ring is connected via Bluetooth. Sometimes itâs immediate, other times painfully slow. The appâs troubleshooting suggestions (ârestart phone,â âturn off Bluetoothâ) feel like filler rather than real diagnostics.⢠Too many notifications: Even on the lowest setting, I get 3â6 alerts every 45 minutesâway more than my smart watches, which average 1-3 every few hours. (These are health notifications, like the âstand up your sitting too longâ or âcheck how close you are at closing your health ringsâ)⢠Material feels questionable: Marketed as titanium, but the ring is very lightweight and makes a plastic-like sound when droppedânot what Iâd expect from metal. Especially when you compare it with an actual ring, I was expecting a little more heft to it.⢠Platform inconsistencies: Some features behave differently depending on the OS. For example, Android shows the last known location with an address for âFind My Ring,â while iOS does not.⸝đ¤ Other Notes & Suggestions⢠Feels like an early beta: Ultrahuman sent an email thanking me for being an early adopterâwhich confirms what the experience already suggests: this is a version 1.0 product still working out kinks.⢠Basic diagnostics: Battery and syncing diagnostics in the app feel underdeveloped. They donât offer deep troubleshootingâjust basic ârestartâ suggestions.⢠App needs customization: I only have the ring, so itâs annoying to see tabs for other Ultrahuman products I donât own. Iâd love the ability to customize the dock to just show âRing,â âProfile,â and âZones.â⢠Power Plug layout is clunky: Some insights with limited value (like âYouâre a consistent sleeperâ) take up large card space, while more important metrics are squeezed into small strips. Being able to resize or pin these like widgets would drastically improve usability.⸝đŹ Final ThoughtsThe Ultrahuman Ring AIR shows promiseâitâs attractive, feature-rich, and offers meaningful health data for people who want to understand their body better. But right now, it feels like a work-in-progress. Syncing delays, battery inconsistency, and unreliable tracking make it hard to fully trust. If you catch it on sale (and maybe use an HSA/FSA account), itâs a worthwhile experimentâespecially if you value form factor over full smartwatch capabilities. But if youâre looking for something polished, dependable, and accurate out of the box, you might want to wait for a new ring air version 2.0 or a few more software updates.

Love my ring
Iâm in love with my Ultrahuman ring The app gives insight on my sleep pattern. It tracks my temperature while I sleep and how this disrupts my sleep. The app was easy to setup. The color is nice. The material is well made. I ordered ring covers to protect it from scratches or wear and tear due to my busy life. I ordered the sizing kit and it was very helpful. I can wear it on my index or middle finger. My fingers do swell at night, so I can wear it on either finger. All in all, great ring, app has a lot of informative information about your health. And you can purchase helpful add ons for a low cost. Thereâs free add ons too.

Amazing Fitness tracker
I've had the ring for a full month now and I've been impressed with just how feature rich and simple the experience has been. Syncing with the app is surprisingly fast and gives immediate feedback. The heart rate tracker and sleep tracking is very similar and as accurate as with a Fitbit. The ring is very slim and fits perfectly for me. The Aster black is sleek and goes will will my watch. I have not had any issues with scratching or it falling off. I had got the sizing kit for both the Aura 3 and Ultrahuman and none of the aura sizes fit perfectly, I'm glad i went with the ultrahuman ring.
