Well-built portable hub with high compatibility
I got this for my Denon Go Plus portable DJ standalone unit. It gives me the ethernet connection that this model no longer comes with. Just in case I ever need it. It's a rare occasion if I do. There's plenty of USB 3 ports for my needs. Also it's slim, well-built, durable and yet lightweight. I have this velcroed to the bottom of the unit with a SanDisk 4tb and everything works perfectly. I love that the braided cord length is short enough for this as design as well as long enough for me to disconnect it from the unit and still have it sit flush on the table. I'm looking for absolute portability and functionality and this one nails it. Very happy with my purchase.

Works as advertised
Buy this if your laptop doesn't have a usb c input. Works great on my Surface laptop 2 since there is only a usb-a input. Added bonus I gained two usb-c to connect external ssd. The 5v power supply makes a stable and fast transfer speed. The ethernet works great too, I get full internet plan speed. Nice build quality. I would buy it again.

Runs hot sometimes but no fires yet. Fingers crossed! Also works w/o power adapter, depending on use
I noticed the other day how very, very hot this little hub had gotten when I was using the ethernet port in addition to 3 of the 4 USB ports. I thought that a little weird bc it didn't get warm at all when I did not have my ethernet line plugged in, even when I used all 4 USB ports. I don't know if that will be a problem going forward but so far I'm just staying aware of it and I unplug the ethernet line if I won't be home, just in case. I have WIFI so it's not like I won't be connected but considering I got this hub primarily for its ethernet port it would've been nice to know it would become molten hot when I used it for the thing I bought it for.Besides this relatively small frustration (I'll update that to "somewhat troublesome inconvenience" if it goes on to actually burst into flame, and "incompatibility with my home's current flammability index" if it sets anything on fire) this hub is very fast, attractive to look at, and doesn't take up a lot of space. Price was also very reasonable.UPDATE: (Not about the fire-setting potential, thank god) I just realized the other day that there is a power adapter port on here that would allow the hub to charge up devices plugged into it so that was a nice discovery. I primarily bought this to have more ports on my laptop, bc I use several different thumb drives day to day and I also needed an ethernet connection, as I noted above. I had wondered why my kindle always said it was connected to a slow charger when I had it plugged into the hub and finally made the connection that it is bc I don't have the hub connected to a power adapter. So that was a long way to say this will run perfectly well without any power adapter plugged in, depending on what you are using it for. For the thumb drives and the ethernet it works great without the power adapter connected.

Exceeds expectations
I bought this specifically to add an Ethernet port to my Surface Pro, and it definitely met—and even exceeded—my expectations for that purpose. The extra USB ports are a nice bonus. However, I’m a bit puzzled by the inclusion of three USB-C ports; I would have preferred more standard USB ports instead, as there are only two—one labeled for 10Gb and another for mouse and keyboard. It’s a bit disappointing that the mouse and keyboard port isn’t 10Gb as well.I also ran into an issue when trying to transfer files between two thumb drives using both USB ports. The dock repeatedly connected and disconnected, and both drives entered recovery mode, incorrectly indicating they were corrupted.Overall, it accomplishes what I needed, but the USB port configuration and performance leave room for improvement.

Does not deliver
This has issues working with more than 2 external drives even with power to the USB-C 5 volt. Drives will disappear or freeze.

The Perfect Connectivity Device!
I am a host on a weekly podcast/radio show and had many problems with connectivity UNTIL I used this wonderful piece of equipment. Microphone, Video, iPad charging, and ethernet are all connected in one place. This device feels heavy in a good way. It is well-made and reliable. I highly recommend it!
