So Far A Great TV - Great Delivery - Easy Set up
Just received my TV delivered by some great guys who took very good care of my Tv during transit. Once hooked up the Set up was incredibly easy as im not one for reading directions. Picture quality is great. There are so many settings you can go through to get the picture just how you wish it to be. If you're looking for 4k Ultra programming one of your best bets is to subscribe to one of the streaming services such as Youtube or hulu or amazon prime. All services offer some ultra 4k hd programming and the apps are build into the OS which is easy to navigate. The remote takes a bit of getting use to as im not use to having a remote that is like a mouse and having to wave my arms in the air like i just don't care to move the cursor around the screen. Once you get use to it however its not quite so bad. I don't use the google assistant portion or the voice part of the remote thats just my preference. The 4k Ultra pictures from netflix are beautiful and full of rich color and detail. There is not a huge library of 4k on regular services such as cable or satelite. Most you will get through your streaming services. I've tested things with my xbox one S and the picture is indeed remarkable with some of the titles i play. There are settings in the menu to adjust the picture for gaming. Since this is a native 120hz refresh rate its much easier on the eyes than the 60hz as you get alot of motion blur with the lower refresh rate.So far I have no complaints in the quickness of which my tv arrived ( i was even able to schedule the date as well as a 3 hour window for arrival) which works great for my work schedule. If you're looking for a great tv at a fantastic price you can't beat this tv. As for some of the reviews i've seen on here. With damage etc upon arrival. Inspect the box to be sure there are no obvious signs of possible damage. I recommend the 4 year protection plan as anything with any type of electronics can happen with in a 4 year span of time and being able to have it fixed with no out of pocket is a wonderful thing. While we all hope we never have to use it it is something that sometimes just happens. So far the best tv i've owned thus far. I just replaced a 55 inch HD tv with this 65 inch 4k one. I was also able to remove a few items i had connected to my old set for streaming. Even tho alot of devices offer netflix and other streaming apps. If your device is not 4k ready you would do well to set up your streaming services directly through the tv menu as they are already set for ultra 4k settings. You'll even see at least in netflix a new category called Ultra 4K to help. All movie titles in the description as well will list if they are ultra 4k, vision, hd etc.The only thing i don't care much for was the actual stand that came with it. Since its a contact in the center back of the screen rather than on the 2 ends to offer best support if you don't tighten the screws right up you can cause yourself a bit of wobble. Other than that a beautiful tv with a wonderful picture and great options for all your needs.

Excellent Product
Excellent viewing angles. I have a wide living room, and people can still see a crisp image at wide viewing angles. Sound quality is better than I expected! I was planning on buying a sound bar, but in the end I didn't need to. I usually have the volume between 8% and 16% for everyday watching. The smart features are easy to use and it has it's own app store so you can pick your own favorite apps to install. The remote comes with one-click buttons for netflix and amazon video, which is very convenient. The only (slightly) negative comment I have is that the local area dimming doesn't handle lots of flashing well. For example, if there is a dark scene with lots of cameras going off in the background. This is a small blemish on an otherwise great product. Woukd definitely recommend LG TVs to a friend. If I had the money, I would buy the OLED version of this TV.

Poor quality TV - do not buy added coverage.
We bought this TV a while back and it has been a huge headache. I don’t know if we have a defective product, but it has never worked properly. The apps have all been extremely slow and don’t work the majority of the time. Picture quality is okay for the price, when you’re able to watch anything. We had to purchase a separate streaming device just to watch anything. Not exactly what you’re paying for from a smart tv.Also, we bought the added coverage to make sure if anything happened it could be repaired. We had an issue with one of the HDMI ports and while not the end of the world, made things inconvenient enough to have someone come repair the TV. It made the problem much worse. Whatever part they replaced made the smart tv functionality almost unusable. The WiFi connection constantly connects and disconnects. The wired connection also broke in the process and does not connect. We’re completely reliant on our streaming device to watch anything now. And whoever came to do the repairs on the TV left the outer shell cracked, bent, and does not sit flush to the frame anymore.TL:DR - don’t buy this TV for the smart tv functionality, and don’t buy the added coverage unless you want them to make your problem worse.

Nice, Not Great, Picture
I have 3 plasma TVs of various ages, and my 43" just broke. I wanted something under 50", so this 49" LG fit the bill and had good reviews across the Internet. The TV has a very good picture. Definitely need to turn off the Power Saving feature. The remote is interesting, but doesn't control my FiOS box, so I'm just using my FiOS remote except for getting into the TV settings.Looking at football today and comparing to the LG to my 50" and 60" plasmas. Well, it's not a fair fight. The plasmas show much greater dark color depth/detail. I recorded part of the game to do comparisons across the TVs. For example, the Denver coach is wearing a dark blue t-shirt and same color windbreaker. The LG shows very little detail, yet both the plasmas show lots of detail. The faces of black coaches with ball caps in the sun are very dark, yet on the plasmas you see their facial features just fine. A TV commercial with a woman with brown hair - LG only shows hair-by-hair detail in the better lit section, yet the plasmas show individual hairs in the darker sections. The LG picture is definitely sharper, with the plasmas having a softer image (yes I've customized the plasmas' setting and brought up sharpness). The side angle viewing of this LG is pretty good compared to most LED, but plasmas are awesome from the side like an old tube TV or the new OLED TVs.(Yes, I admit I'm sad my plasma TV died.)In general, I like this LG 49" TV. The picture is very good and the sound is fine in the guest bedroom / workout room I have it in, though it can't compete with the new very expensive OLED in the darker picture areas. I need to start saving my pennies for an OLED when the next plasma TV dies. My neighbor's 65" OLED is off the charts.
