Q: Will this work with a variable load like with a generator?

Q: Can I use several of these with separate remotes individually?. My plan would use seven of these each with their own remote.

I have several, as long as you can get the different channels they don't interfere with each other. I have 7 devices from them, 6 single outlet, one remote per outlet and 1 that is 1 remote with three buttons that control 3 separate outlets. All work great, no interference as long as you can get different channels. I have them all used in my garage and several are close to each other.
