good for low-intensity motion sickness
I tried Sea Bands years ago and hated them; the pressure point buttons were so bulky and the bands so thick that they made my hands feel weird and tingly/numb. So I was hesitant to try a similar product, but I recently started a new job that means I am now commuting by train every day, and I was desperate for something that would ward off motion sickness. This band has really helped in that regard. It is not bulky like the Sea Bands, and I've had no weird tingling hands. On my generally smooth commuter train, the Bioband helps keep me from feeling sick. However, I used it on the Metro subway the other day, and it was not enough. I think that means I will probably need to stick with Dramamine for airplanes and boats as well, which is disappointing. But at least the daily commute is covered by the Bioband. One thing I'd like to add is that this was one of the few bands available that is small enough for my wrist (6" around), and I am very grateful it fits. Unfortunately, when I put the band on in the direction that makes it easy to tighten the strap, the little metal buckle hits the side bone of my wrist. So I have to put it on in the other direction, which makes it more difficult to tighten. That could perhaps be part of why it is not effective enough for the more intense subway ride.

Difficult to wear
I bought this nausea relief band without realizing where it has to be placed on your wrist. I guess I was just assuming that you put it on like a watch, I was wrong. There are no instructions until you receive the product (at least I didn't find any). You have to put it about 3 finger spaces up on your wrist, which in my experience makes it slide down fairly often. It's difficult to maintain and so I didn't get much use out of it. I would have scored it lower, but if it works for other people then I don't think I should.

It works.
I get motion sickness in every type of transportation except my own feet! So, I bought this before a cruise expecting a disaster. I used this every day and although it worked I still needed to take half a pill to feel perfect. However, I caution that I'm really an extreme case of motion sickness so I think it works pretty great. I've been using it when flying too, specially for long flights and I feel so much better. I recently bought another to give to a sick relative, so I'll update if it works for her.In summary I recommend it, it helps but if you have a severe problem of motion sickness it might help to have a packet of pills just in case.Update: my sick relative suffers from motion sickness caused by fibromyalgia. She started using the band and her motion sickness improved although it didn't disappear. Curiously the pain on her wrist caused by the same disease was greatly improved by the band. I know the band isn't supposed to be for that but the doctor said it helped with the swelling and hence reduced the pain.

There are better deals out there
I have used many different bands, and I feel they do work to stop mild motion sickness. But, this is for only ONE band. I was quite surprised and upset to see only one band in the box once it arrived....especially for the price I paid!!Look elsewhere, and get a set of 2 bands....not just 1 !! There are better deals out there!!!

It works for me
I've suffered from severe motion sickness my entire life. I've thrown up in cars, boats, planes, amusement rides, you name it if it moves and I've been on it, I've thrown up in/on it.I've tried Dramamine and Scopolamine patches. I've tried the two in combination, a Scop patch behind each ear. No eating, eating, you name it, I've tried it. Nothing worked. My liver is out in the ocean somewhere. My wife bought me one of these years ago, not sure how long ago but a long time, probably back in the 90s.I use one band on my right wrist. I could position it in my sleep now.I have not thrown up on anything since I started using it. That's boats, planes, cars, amusement rides, etc. Choppy seas, extremely rough flights, not a twinge of nausea. That sickening feeling of where you start to get hot and it just escalates is a thing of the past.I keep one in my briefcase, several spares at the house and never leave on a trip without it.Power of suggestion? Maybe, but I know it works for me.

This product is a Joke!
I bought this since one of my cousins used to get nauseated (specially while travelling). I was hoping for a little more than a velcro bands for the price! I later have had the feeling I could have picked up a couple of velcro bands @ the departmental store for much less. It doesn't help since my cousin has not been any better using these (I understand its a pressure point thing, and she did consult people using similar things). All in all its been a major disappointment and since I gave 'em to her, I didn't get to return these! Better check out such bands in person and then order from Amazon (or the Internet for that matter).

reduced arthritis symptoms and dizziness
Bought for my grandmother. She feels it has reduced her dizziness and is sure it has helped her arthritis. It is easily adjustable and she says it is comfortable. The only reason I am giving it a 4 is because the velcro has worn out in 9 months. This time we purchased PSI brand bracelets with a buckle. Hopefully they work as well. Time will tell.
