Excellent shin guards
I bought these for my boyfriend, so he'll be writing the review from here.I got these to use for deadlifting, as I was constantly scraping my shins with the barbell. So far, so good. I've used them in a lot of sessions and they've saved me from quite a few scrapes and bruises. They're easy to clean and dry pretty quickly. (I use Clorox, nonbleach wipes on them.)They're solid shin guards and I feel like it would take a lot to actually crack/break them.Good purchase, would buy again and definitely recommend.

Looking for good quality for a cheap price
Started playing inter-mural soccer and purchased these guards. Looking for good quality for a cheap price. I'm an about 5'6" female and ordered these in medium. They are perfect sized. I read a ton of reviews where people were complaining about the size of these. Addias website recommends going by height and not age. I found this to be perfectly true. Size up if you're on the border and you'll be fine.Love that I can wash the sleeves and that the backs of the guards are a "pleather" like material. They don't absorb the sweat and stink!I would highly recommend.

Sizing is hit and miss
I’ve bought two of these, both shades of red and in size XS. They are completely different sizes as far as how tight of a “C” shape. I included pics to try to show this. Luckily, the smaller ones fit my 5 year old and the bigger ones fit my 7 year old. They both prefer these over the around ankle type and the quality seems great. But beware that sizing can vary. One minor complaint...the tags are crazy annoying being against skin. Can’t they be stickers that you can remove easily?

They do run small.
We have purchased these for my daughter twice now. Both times we followed the advice of others and ordered one size up. My 50" tall daughter wears adult size Small. The Extra Small no longer cover much of her shin and the compression sleeve for the extra small is very tight. The compression sleeve for the small size are much better now while still holding the guards in there proper place.

Super
These fit my 5 yo who is built like a tall tank... wears size 6/7. He is obsessed with Flash and wants everything red. He was uber excited about this gift! He needed help the first couple times, but can easily put them on himself and no more bruises from roughing in soccer. Very cool design and he feels like a superhero, which every parent wants to see!

Runs small
These are NOT the shin guards you want. First of all the sizing is way off. The XS would fit my 6 month old baby, not my 6 year old kid. VERY small. Also, they are held in place solely by the sleeve, which is not sufficient. Unfortunately my 6 year old cut the tags off before he tried them on so we can't return them but they run VERY small and I would not purchase these again, given the chance.

Better but not perfect
I have a big problem with all these newer shinguards. They are minimalistic and unobtrusive yet very uncomfortable without sleeves or tape or straps. I finally picked up some calf sleeves not shinguard specific which help immensely and eliminated the use of Velcro straps. I've tried 2 different Nike mercurial lite as well as the previous Adidas ghost guard. With the latter being the pretty awful. My problem is even the larges don't fit my shins correctly and slip all over. I looked at these never ghost guards to see if the creases will help with confirming to my shins. While they are not perfect by any means they are miles ahead of anything I've tried on the past 3-5 years. The fact that they bend.helps a bit with confirming to my shins. However they are still a bit always from being comfortable for a full 90. Until something better comes along these will do.

i am very pleased that these came with sleeves also
fits my son well. we bought size small, he is on the shorter/skinnier side for an 8/9 year old but these cover his shins and we can probably use them at least another year, maybe 2. they are a hard shell plastic on the outside and a firm foam on the inside, so they do not bend. i am very pleased that these came with sleeves also.
