Braun IS3046BK Care Style 3 Steam Generator Iron

This Iron's temperature is steady but medium -low, you cannot vary it and it is just not hot enough. The steam is ok but just that, not more.Inbuilt obsolence is shocking - it has lasted 3 years and then totally died. I would not purchase it again because of this. This was not a super cheap option - I expected a bit more duration frankly. Also Braun does not repair in the UK which is shocking - products go to landfill. I would go for a different brand and better model.

I searched long and hard for a new sg iron, checked out bars etc and I bought a top of the range Philips SG iron which I loved but unfortunately it left water marks on silk which i think was just a fault with the iron i had so I sent it back and had a refund. I saw this Braun grey care style 3 iron for over £150 cheaper than the philips with a 6.5. bar so thought i would try it and I must say i am very impressed indeed. I paid £100 for it. Only one thing better on the philips and I would say the actual size and weight of the iron alone was smaller and lighter on the philips but this iron feels a bit heavier and more substantial a d i have got used to it now and I am elderly and can pick up the iron easily and the whole iron and tank combined feels light. I didn’t think I was going to be impressed but I am and of course no need to wait for temperature to change is a huge bonus.

Great but need to keep pressure on button to get steam. Much cheaper than many others and irons really well.

This is my fourth steam generator iron and undoubtedly the best. Fast heat up. Large water tank. Great to have a cable tidy. I chose this one after a lot of searching through reviews and am not disappointed. I would definitely recommend this iron and the price is far lower than other comparative products.

Wife was well chuffed this product, the best one we’ve ever had, easy to use the instructions were clear. Also unlike other products you can actually see water level in tank.Would recommend this product.

My current generator iron broke and I didn’t want to spend over£100. I’d read some reviews which were mixed but I’m raw pleased with the iron. It’s not colourful but it’s excellent.

This iron is very well made and works well. I recommend it.

Very good quality. It's superb the tank is so big! I have to point out though that the temperature developed is not that high so some fabrics are not easy to iron. Harder clothes or sheets do not come out as well.
