Works perfectly!
Works perfectly! My wife bought a new gorgeous entertainment center but it has no glass doors or any other way to send an IR signal from the remote to the device when the doors are closed. This little product hooks up in seconds and does the trick! I have the receiver portion of this just barely peeking out from the corner of my center channel speaker that sits on top of the entertainment stand. The cord runs down the length of the speaker and behind the stand down into the stand where it points right at my AV receiver and my 4k player. One thing to note: this is not a programmable type device. It picks up ANY IR signal from ANY remote and transmits that signal to the other end. I did not realize this before I purchased this and actually ordered two of them thinking I’d need one for the AV receiver and one for my 4k player as they’re in the same cubby of the entertainment stand but on different shelves. Not so. Once I realized this I positioned the broadcast portion of the device on the inside of the door of the stand so that it can broadcast the remote’s signal to either device, depending on what remote I’m using. Ultimately I returned the unused second device and just kept the one.I sit about 12’ or so from the receiving end of the device and have had no issues whatsoever sending a signal to the device from my couch.Very cool little product that does exactly what you need it yo do. Highly recommended!

Does exactly as I need it too.
6 foot version - review:I did not have line of sight to my DVD player with it's remote. I powered this device up, stuck the receiver higher up and the transmitter by the DVD player (which was low and behind furniture), pressed power on with the remote. The DVD player powered right up.The cables where plenty long enough to go where I needed them to get to.

Works decently enough
Works decently, not as receptive as the TV itself but I needed it because my soundbar blocks the TV’s receiver.Does not work well if inside a cubby, but I have it sitting right next to the soundbar on top of the TV stand. you don’t need to aim the remote directly at the receiver, but you have to aim in the general direction of the TV area, unlike with the TV’s receiver where i could point the remote basically anywhere.

Works very well, solving a significant control problem in our setup
My equipment is out of sight, so the need to communicate to a devices inside cabinets was solved with this device

Extremely Limited Distance
For the unit I received, the IR receiver's signal range is approximately 2 feet. That does me absolutely no good sitting on my couch. While it was easy to install, and worked well if you're holding your remote right up to the receiver, at that range, it's effectively pointless to have. Based on the other positive reviews, perhaps I received a defective unit, but unfortunately that is my experience. I will be returning and trying another brand.TL;DR - Extremely limited range rendered the device unusable*. Returning. Would not recommend.

Works well
Seems to do what it is intended to do -- pass remote control signals to the equipment inside the entertainment center.

Simple clean easy to install. But one issue I had to overcome..
I liked the simplicity, easy wiring, low cost of this I-R Relay.Unfortunately I couldn't make it work with my new A/V receiver. I realize the prudent thing for most people is to just get it replaced by Amazon. As an EE, I'm able to dive into specifically what's wrong, in this case using a phone camera and an oscilloscope. A phone camera can detect I-R easily. Aim your remote at it, and you'll see white flash when pressing command buttons. On this I-R extender, my phone cam revealed that the TRANSMITTER end was emitting very low (if any) I-R. I knew the I-R receiver was sensing I-R well- it has a small blue LED you can see (thru its top) flash when it receives I-R commands from a remote. I cut off the transmitter at the end of its 10-ft wire and used a scope to verify that digital pulses (intended to drive I-R emitter) WERE present when A/V remote was sending commands. The problem was the I-R emitting diode.I dug into a supply of super efficient white LEDs I have. With proper polarity, I connected one to the end of the 10 ft transmit cable. It illuminated intensely with each remote command. I fixtured the white LED to the front of A/V receiver at it's I-R sensor location. That fixed the problem- the AV receiver enclosed in a cabinet reliably responds to all buttons on its remote now.
