Great addition to the shower!
I purchased this unit in October of 2018 and installed it under the lavatory sink. It goes directly, a short distance, to the shower that is about 140 cubic feet in area. It heats the space quickly and I have had no problems with the any of the components. I have a manual drain that I open about twice per year. Have had no problem with mineral buildup in the generator. I do have a water softener as there is a great deal of calcium in our water supply. I would defiantly recommend this device and company. It works well and was reasonably priced. It does use a lot of power, on a 50 Amp circuit. I have a flat ceiling in the shower and that has not been a “dripping” problem. I am in a cold climate (NW Montana) and I did provide extra waterproofing and vapor barrier which I would recommend due to the heat and moisture and potential for mold in the surrounding walls and ceiling.Update: 12/22/2022. The steam shower is still working just fine. We do not use it on a daily basis, but it has had no problems in the past four years. Would still recommend.

Simple and Effective Design
Installed the unit 3+ months ago. Use 2/3 times per week. Shower (now steam room) is 6’x6’ with a glass entry door. Ceiling height is 8’. Tile floor and walls.Installation was as expected. Directions are direct and to the point. Connection from controller to the base unit is easy by use of non-proprietary CAT4/RJ45 network cable. Performance: once activated, room temp (according to the controller) of 103 is achieved within 5 min. Higher temps are quicky achieve shortly thereafter. Controls are “simple and effective” and function as designed. Turn on and unit will heat/steam until desired temp is achieved.

Awesome power!
I’ve had this Elite Steam machine for about a month. It has been great. It fills the shower with steam and gets to my desired temperature of 110F in just a few minutes.Since it pulls 240V, it’s energy consumption is relatively low.

Worked great at first, then problems, problems...
Bought and installed 4-years ago. 1st 3-years I used probably 200 times and worked fine. Then it sprung a leak so had to disconnect and send back to the mfg. (and the water warped the hardwood floor before we realized it was leaking). They fixed the leak and cost me $300 to have a plumber come over and connect it up again (pipes needed to be soldered which I can't do). A year after that I got a E6 error on the control. So call them up and they tell me to pull the electrodes that control the water lever and clean them, no build up and does not solve the issue. Then they want me to pull them again and clean with rubbing alcohol, did that and did not work. Then they had me drain the unit, that did not work. They they had me go buy a $40 electrical tester which did nothing other than confirm there was 240 power to the unit (DUH>>>it worked for years and was obviously getting power). So now they are sending me two new parts, might be either or both that I get to play repairman and install. One day I spent 2-hours on hold to confirm the tester I bought was the correct one, and then for two days the company was in employee training (left messages and no call back) and finally got through on the 3rd day. So all told about2-weeks, about ten phone calls and several hours on the phone later I am waiting for 2- parts that I get to install and may or may not solve the issue. If neither of those two work them I get to take it off the wall, send it in and wait a few weeks and then pay a plumber to put it back together. Yeah it has a 10-yr warranty but if you are not handy with plumbing and electrical you are going to spend a ton on plumbers and electricians and the phone support is not the best and their diagnostic tests are hit and miss. Also be ware that if you pay a plumber or electrician to come out and they try and call tech support that they may be stuck on hold for an hour or more (and charge you accordingly). And no I do not have hard water. I told the tech nobody in our town had water softeners because we do not have hard water and he pretty much refused to believe it was not due to hard water.

Great machine at a great price.
Still in the process of installing but everything looks good. No complaints other than the shipping delays.

Loving it
I wanted to wait for a year of use before I review this product. We LOVE it and use it everyday. I would recommend someone qualified to install but it is fairly intuitive. My only recommendation on which model sizing is to chose a larger model- especially if you have an exterior wall involved. We would buy again for sure.
