Superior quality, U.S.A. - made!
Using this hose (many, actually) to irrigate the numerous shrub and perimeter beds on around our home. (about 1/3-acre, not an expansive property.) I love Dramm, finding their products superior to others I've tried over the years. (soaker hoses, as well as Dramm's other irrigation tools.)Have permanently installed these, laid atop the soil over the root zones of azaleas, acubas, cleyeras, etc., pinned down with steel L-shaped stakes, then covered with mulch and compost. Covering the hoses not only makes the beds more attractive and hides the hoses, but also retains the water used, for further conservation. Our landscape has an in-ground sprinkler system, but my goal is to use that for watering only the turf areas, utilizing these soaker hoses to maintain the non-turf areas, about half of the total area. Sod requires too much water in our area, (north central Texas,) and I know much of the water used to maintain the more moisture-sensitive shrubs, such as azaleas, is wasted when running the sprinklers. Multiple soaker hoses can be connected to each other for longer runs, and sometimes using multiple shorter hoses instead of one very loooong one can be beneficial in the event the hose(s) must be moved for some reason. Simply disconect one or two 50-footers, instead of one 100-footer.I have different beds connected together with sections of regular garden hose, and have either buried the regular hose just beneath the sod across the lawn area, or covered with mulch in a non-sodded area. This allows me to water one entire side of the yard at once, instead of having to connect/disconnect various hoses from the spigot(s). A 'Y' connector here and there allows the branching of a couple of soaker hoses to different areas for greater coverage. Two more suggestions for anyone contemplating a project such as this: replace the black pvc cap(s) on these hoses with brass caps, usually available at your local hardware store. If you live in a climate where the hoses will be left outside in the winter, eventually the plastic caps will crack and degrade, resulting in leaks. Plastic caps will also break if stepped on, or run over with the mower or other lawn equipment. Brass quick-disconnects are also invaluable for any gardener who uses hoses and various watering devices. Don't bother with the cheapo plastic versions.... they don't last long and can't be left outside in freezing weather. Except for occasionally replacing the rubber washers, brass connectors last indefinitely, and are well worth the higher initial cost. Just make sure the male and female components are made by the same manufacturer; one brand may not crossover (fit) another brand, so buy a female coupler for each spigot or hose end, and one male end for each watering tool or hose-end device. And get a couple extra male ends in case you buy more watering tools, but don't forget to remove these brass pieces in the even you have to replace a worn-out hose or tool. And finally, if your municipality uses the Water Department as a profit center like ours does, water conservation is not only beneficial to the planet, but beneficial to your pocketbook as well.

It leaked brand new
The media could not be loaded. It leaked as soon as I turned it on, it seemed like a good sturdy hose. It took me a while to maneuver it around my garden however, which ended up being a big waste of time. When I turned it on it leaked where the hose attached to the metal. I did re-order another one crossing my fingers that it will be a good one. I did not try the hose before I placed it in my garden because I thought the weight of the water would make it more difficult. I did not think it was necessary for the price of this hose.

Awesome Quality Hose, but..........
Let me start by saying that this is without doubt the best quality rubber soaker hose I've seen. However, the upgraded quality comes with a down side.I have hundreds of feet of soaker hose throughout my property. If, or when, it develops a leak, I cut out the damaged portion, and splice in a new piece of hose using 5/8" hose fittings. The brick and mortar stores no longer carry 5/8" soaker hose, so I have been forced to purchase it online; a process that has been hit and miss. Hoses should be sized according to their inside diameter, but a lot of online companies reference the outside diameter, which makes them too small to splice to my existing hoses. When I received the Dramm Premium soaker hose, it felt like a quality product, and the outside diameter matched my existing hose, so I thought I had found what I was looking for. However, when I cut a piece to use for repair, I discovered that the wall thickness is double the size of a standard hose, which makes the inside diameter too small for 5/8" hose fittings. (It's actually too small for 1/2" fittings as well.) This was disappointing, as the description said 5/8" hose, and as stated earlier, hose should be sized according to its inside diameter.Amazon was sympathetic to my explanation, and went the extra mile as usual, allowing me to return the cut hose. However, I thought I should point out this idiosyncrasy to other potential buyers that may be intending to cut and splice pieces together. For anyone not intending to cut and splice it, I don't think you could find a better product.

Worth the extra cost..
It arrived on time and worked perfectly! I'm a little concerned about the fitting. It seems a bit cheap. Suppose time will tell!

Dramm Soaker Hose
This is the best soaker hose I’ve found. It waters evenly, whereas the last soaker hose I had would flood one end while the plants on the other end got very little water. This soaker hose is being used in a flower garden and I will be ordering more this spring for the vegetable garden. Soaker hoses, if they work right, are a huge time saver and provide plants with ideal watering at the root.

Vital connections fail after three months
At first I was impressed by the superior sturdiness of the set of these hoses I purchased for this growing season. I also was pleased that the product delivered on its promise to provide flow the entire length of the hose. However, after three months of service all but one of the hose endcaps has disintegrated and leaks have developed at the point where the connectors are supposed to be fused to the hoses’ other ends. I’m disppointed that the company has ruined the performace of what could be a great product. By the way, I have been controlling my water pressure so that isn’t the problem. Next year I will go back to less expensive soaker hoses since these have failed to last even through their first season,

A true soaker hose.
Great for hiding in the flower bed or around water hogs like new cedars. Hook your hose to it and that's it. It is round and the water seeps out of most of the hose. It really is the only type of soaker hose that works. It's made by Dramm and they truly stand behind their products. You won't regret this purchase.

Works as advertised!
Works very well! We use it on a timer to water our garden. It's run zigzag though the flowerbed and garden and does not kink. We've only used it for one season so far, but it's significantly better than the flat style soaker hose that we had before.
