Highly recommended and worth the price.
I absolutely love this product. It is beautifully (and ethically) made and does exactly what it needs to do. I personally disagree with those who say it is too big as for me the whole purpose is for the cat to have the space to work at getting the food out. I have 2 fairly new rescue cats, one of which is a mega pig when it comes to food. I tried putting ping pong balls in his bowl which helped a little but he would still polish his food off within 5 mins. Now it takes him at least 20 minutes if not more. It only took him a couple of meals to get used to the feeder and now he loves it and thrives on the challenge. I try to time it that I am getting my own meals at the same time as this has helped to stop him from being under my feet all the time. Plus he no longer tries to steal his sister's food (she is a proper little lady and takes her time, and self regulates her intake so I still feed her in a bowl).I appreciate that this product may not suit every feline, but for my boy it is proving to be invaluable. It is also very satisfying watching him being stimulated in a more natural way. One little tip is that it does tend to move across the floor but I have pretty much solved this by popping it on the door mat.

Cat is eating slower
My cat needs to lose some weight. She scoffs her food very quickly.I bought this dish following advice from a cat nutrition specialist. The bowl doesn't come with transition instructions & I only received the instructions for transition via email the day after I received the bowl. I would have appreciated the guidance more promptly as I'd already started using the bowl to feed my cat.Fortunately, the way I instinctively introduced the bowl & my cat was hungry has meant she's not stressed & is enjoying using her new bowl. The only adaptation I've made is to put non slip matting under the bowl as it slides around while she's eating. Most important factor is my cat is happy eating from her new bowl. Her eating is markedly slower: from eating in seconds to taking 15-20 minutes same portion.I'm happy as the bowl is durable, sturdy, easily cleaned & eco-friendly.I'm happy to recommend that other people consider buying this well designed bowl, but wait a day or so until you receive instructions via email.

Feels really sturdy
I’ve had a ‘slow pet feeder’ for years - one in which the cats have to fish out the food from goblets of various size - and they like it a lot. I was looking for another one that would be a bit different, and this one does the job very well. They can eat directly off it which means no kibble on the floor, and it slows them down nicely. It’s also a nice texture , and feels quite heavy so doesn’t get dragged around so much.Really good product.

Not for cats
Good idea but far too big for cats better suited to dogs

Proof that it has solved my cat's fast feeding issues
This product is great for solving a cat rushing it's food, which eventually makes it sick (poor little kitty!). First off the cat wasn't too sure as all of it's wet food is spread out but eventually it accepted it (didn't have much choice really!) and so far so good. I've proved that it works as the cat was sick another night after we moved back to a bowl for food so it does work! I expect this is down to each individual cat as some may not like it but others will use it with no issues. Personal preference around the colour and as he is a boy the golden colour was the best option. There is a handy leaflet inside the box which provides more information on other services from the seller. The packaging itself was a perfect fit as the feeder bowl itself is a lot bigger than I imagined but that isn't a problem.Great product, quick delivery, great service.

Not for cats!
I never realised how large this dish actually is, it’s like a dinner plate, in fact possibly wider! It is extremely good quality and very well made and I think for a dog that has a long tongue it would be ideal. The description however said it was for small animals and there’s even a picture of a cat using it. However, both my 8 yr old cat and 5 month old kitten could not use it! They are both food fiends but gave up trying to use it! For starters the bowl has no grips underneath so skids around everywhere when they are trying to eat from it. Due to how large the dish is, as are the obstacles/patterns, it is impossible for a cat to get their nose or small tongue in to get the food out (unless you fill it to the brim which kind of defeats the point and could also lead to over feeding!). My 8 yr old cat managed to use her paws to flick a few of the crunchies out but otherwise was unable to eat the food directly.I think it’s a great quality item and definitely worth the money however it’s just marketed at the wrong animal group. If you have a dog, buy it! If you have a cat, avoid it!

Too difficult for my cat
Really well made, and I love it's not plastic and bio degrades. However, this was just too difficult for my cat to eat from. I followed all the ideas about just a little to start, and gradually move him over to it, but even though he really tried, he just couldn't get the food out (and this is one food motivated cat). He was really depressed at meal times. So, unfortunately I had to abandon the bowl. I will look to donate to a cat charity.I found a simpler dish in its place which works well for my cat (and therefore me).
