great read!
I’d recommend this book for ages 17-20. While reading this book, I could actually imagine summer and Aidens appearances. The constant use of the word ‘peaches’ to describe summers scent made it more realistic. It really is such a beautiful love story.

Good paced easy read, deeper than your average sports college romance.
This was a super cute college ice hockey romance. Summer and Aiden made the perfect main characters. Their chemistry was incredible, their dynamics were great and the banter was on point.I loved the pace and how easy reading this book was. Overall cute read, I will also be grabbing the sprayed edge of this book to go on my shelf. This wasn’t just your typical sports romance, there was much more to it and I really liked this, the consent and boundaries were also there which is a big green flag for me.

Book 86 of 2024 finished 1/8/24 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫Summer has had a life plan since she was eight years old. She knows exactly what she wants and the steps she needs to take to become a successful sports psychologist with a stable marriage and family. Determined and focused she is almost at the end of her college career, just 1 final assignment to go. The last thing she wants is to be distracted so when her mentor demands she focus her final piece on Hockey players Summer is devastated. Hockey is off limits, she hates it and allhockey players.Aiden is the Hockey captain and after taking the fall for the team partying too hard his Coach punishes him by making him work with Summer. Aiden becomes the research project which will determine Summer’s future. She can’t stand how laid back Aiden’s approach to life is, and he can’t understand why someone so young has their whole life planned out. Their chemistry is electric but Summer refuses to be sidetracked by relationships, however, a little fun might not be too bad.My thoughts: He falls first, forced proximity, sports romance.I love a sports romance so this was right up my street. I enjoyed the story, the start was a bit slow but once it got going I couldn’t put it down. The story is very similar to Icebreaker so if you like that then you should enjoy this, although the similarities actually put me off as you could basically predict the whole book. The chemistry is strong and Aiden is so loveable. I found Summer the less likeable of the pair and quite irritating at times but maybe because I was comparing her to Anastasia (Icebreaker). The book is an easy read with not much depth but sometimes they’re the books you crave. My favourite element of this book is probably the hockey team, the men are so likeable and I’ll look forward to reading about one of them in the future.

4.5 stars, a simmering college romance
I loved these characters and their friends. Summer’s complexity made the story better. And I’m glad Aiden didn’t have to be an AH, he was genuine and that just fits the story. The ex Donny was an anomaly. He gave off major controlling vibes so I didn’t expect that plot point to just fizzle out, it wasn’t very satisfying.Overall a decent lengthy read.

She’s the last fragment of sunlight in the overwhelming darkness
Great for people who like:college hockey romance, opposites attract (nerdy girl x athlete), forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine (but she’s the grump), he falls first, no third act breakupThis book certainly lives up to its social media hype. It delivers on the promise of so much fun. Not a lot of plot but a good book boyfriend, likable side characters, and great execution that endears it to sports romance enthusiasts. Aiden and Summer became each other's pillars, navigating personal challenges in a positively uplifting manner. The romance? 5/5. Spiciness? 3/5. The characters? Absolute delights. The plot? Just the right blend of mystery. Have happily recommended it to my friends in our book-chat.

loved it
When I first read the blur for the book I wasn’t 100 percent sold. However that soon changed!Whilst I liked Summer and understood her struggles, it was Aidan who was my favourite character in the book along with his team mates. They made the story really interesting and it was great to read a book where it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, but the MMC wasn’t the one who had to be persuaded into the relationship.Definitely recommend it- you won’t regret it! :)
