I don't leave many reviews on here and mostly only do when something is either really good or really poor. I'm pleased to say this review is because this product is brilliant. I bought it for my 9 year old football crazy son. I was worried it would either be flimsy or take ages to set up. Having no solid bars also worried me as I thought my son wouldn't like it compared to a proper goal.No need to worry he would play with this all day if he could. It comes in a handy carry case, is easy to set up and easy to put away. The build quality is really good and all in all I thoroughly recommend it.One very happy 9 year old

I saw these kickster goals demonstrated at a 7 aside football tournament a few years ago. I was really impressed with the smaller versions of this goal, which looked sturdy and lightweight. With all the good reviews I decided to buy the 16 x 7 version for my now growing teenage son. I am really disappointed for the following reasons:The base bar at the back comes in several heavy gauge tubed sections linked by a shock cord. I’d like to think I’m a strong adult, but even I found it really difficult to join the sections together. The built in spring clips are really stiff. Trying to depress these and line them up holes correctly was really hard work, took a long time and hurt my thumbs in the process. Also, when the sections are joined together, the combined weight of the bar puts an excessive load on each joint, which meant that when dismantling, they were really difficult to pull apart. Depressing the spring clips and trying to pull the poles apart was impossible for one person and still a struggle for two.The curved base bar is meant to lay flat on the ground. We carefully followed the instructions, but no matter how we tried to configure the sections the ends wouldn’t properly line up with the corner sections, which meant the corners were raised up off the ground and the whole goal was unstable, even when pegged.The paintwork on the metalwork is thin and became scratched after the first time of joining and separating the sections. This doesn’t bode well in terms of rusting in future.Finally there was no tension in the cross bar tape, which meant it sagged in the middle, making the 7” more like 6” for most of its length. It looked a bit pathetic too.Sadly, I have returned the goal for a refund as it really wasn’t fit for purpose. The smaller versions seem great, but at this size this one had a number of design faults and really didn’t work.

Goes together in moments, seems hardwearing, much quieter than using a fence or shed for target practice.

I got 2 goals for my grassroots team to practice with. Quick and easy to set up and creates a proper game environment instantly. Also great for the park for a quick kick about.
