This is a Real phone
I mean a real phone for communication purpose, all the bell and wishes is just bonus. This phone has everything I need it for:1. It has to have Dual sim with dedicated SD card slot, there's a lot of choice out there with 2 sim but lack of dedicated SD slot, why would you want to buy a hybrid dual sim when you can only use 1 sim with SD card in??? that's to me is just a gimmick from the manufacturer, I have the Samsung A5000 Dual previous and unable to use the 2nd sim all times I've own it and will never ever buy a hybrid sim phone again. I always had the SD card permanently installed, I have all my photo and important Doc save to the SD instead of internal memory (no matter how large the internal memory has), this is for safety reason, in case of the phone broke (couldn't turn on etc.......), I'll still have all my important files in the SD instead of paying big $ to have the files recover (I won't upload important files to no cloud service). I always root my phones to have twrp recovery install, so I need to do backup to the SD card. Very happy finally can use dual sim simultaneously, I now had t-mobile payg–Legacy on sim 1 for call and freedompop on 2nd sim for free call & data, my phone bill is less then $20 a year, yes! that's right less then $20 a YEAR! thanks to freedompop free plan. Well, I do have google free phone with OBI at home.2. Connectivity, this phone has most the LTE bands for US, the 2G and GSM going to fade out the market soon, Don't buy a phone without LTE support in US. This is the 4G bands use in US: B2 (1900), B4 (1700/2100 AWS 1), B5 (850), B12 (700), B13 (700), B17 (700), B20 (800), B25 (1900+), B26 (850), B30 (2300), B41 (TDD 2500), B46 (TDD 900), B66 (1700/2100), B71 (600). Don't need it all, but the more bands it has the more coverage area it'll get.The WIFI AC Dual band is OK, not the strongest but it work for me, and GPS, can't live without it, I am direction blind. GPS is a little weaker then the A5000 Dual, but still get the job done.3. Compact, actually this phone still a little big to my taste, I would like a phone no more then 5.5 inch tall, I am not the person like to carry a cutting board everywhere. But this is the smallest one I can find with all the features I needed. but this phone is heavy, I'll feel tire if holding this phone for long, got spoil by the A5000 which feel nothing in my hand.4. Battery life, I don't use my phone much, only need it at work for 8 hours, I went to work with 100%, came home with 92-97%, I only use it to read eBook on my break for about 2 hours, the phone are turn on all the times with always on, wifi and data on and off depend on my usage, display are only set to middle (bright enough), also the phone set to turn off the always on display in the dark (when it place in the pocket will off the display, this option is in the display setting). use most stock apps to minimize 3rd party apps and ads running in the background.*I don't care about the camera as long as it can take see able photo, I only use the camera for reference photo, like had a accident or do a product review etc..., this phone's camera are able to do that.*I don't care about the speaker, as long as it's hear able, this phone's speaker is loud and clear enough for voice, I don't need to turn it all the way up to hear. I don't listen to music on my phone neither, but I have test the Radio it's working, it's good to have just in case need to listen to the news. I like they place the speaker on the upper right side of the phone, it's more suitable when watch video, just for testing it has no problem steaming my H.265 and 4k video files on this phone, I don't know it has downgraded by the software or not, it's watchable, but youtube can only able to go up to 1080p 60f. Bluetooth and earphone is working fine too.*I don't care it can play games, I don't play game on my phone.*I don't care it has fingerprint, face recognition, NFC, Notification Led, IP68 function, but this phone has it all and it's working (I did not test the IP68 function, anyone like to volunteer is more then welcome). There's a phone case send along with the package, very thoughtful of Samsung.**I DON'T CARE IT'S A SAMSUNG, But it's what I can find fit my need and my bill.I still don't like soldered battery, the A5000 phone battery had swelled cause separate the panel to the phone body, that's why I'm here.I don't like the Bixby Home taking the whole page, I don't use it, it should only use a widget or icon shortcut to activate, I like to able to scroll left and right from home page, it make faster usage, don't know it's samsung or android fault, now it can only scroll to right for app pages, and left page has the Samsung Bixby can't go beyond anymore.I don't like Samsung install all these useless apps on my phone, I know there's some people like to have some apps per-installed, then Samsung should allow uninstall option, I pay retail price for the phone, it's not a discount item, I should able to install what I want on my phone, apps should put on Google play or their site and let us choose what to install. My dislike are most software related, just personal preference, there's no big problem with the phone.Special thanks to the seller include the US charger adapter in the box, also send the replacement sim tray eject pin promptly, (eject pin was missing in the box). Please excuse my English.PS. If this phone had Android One, I'll give it 10 star.

Great Smartphone under $400 dollars, almost a flagship phone!
A great smart phone. I like the Orchid Gray for this phone. Let say by using Pros and Cons:Pros:I love the Orchid Gray for this phone64GB of storage since I already used 21.5GB of storage4GB of RAM so many apps and things can be running at onceAOD - Alway On Display, with out unlocking my phone I can see the date, time and battery %I use finger print to unlock, decided not to use face dictionDS is for Dual SIMs + microSC that all three can be used at onceUpdated to Oreo + Samsung Experience 9Cons:No Voice Bixby had to install Google Assistant for voice like Siri experienceNo wireless charge but with other products can be upgradedI like this smartphone a lot. This could be a Samsung Galaxy cheap flagship phone if it had Voice Bixby. I like to take photos with smartphones, and with the API2 support on Open Camera I can do manual focus as with some other apps as well. So 16MP camera is much better than a 12MP camera on my iPhone SE. Lucky I mostly take photos, so no 4K video recording is not a deal breaker for me. I find that a single charge for me last all day (a few time two days), usually down to 20 to 30 percent charge, but I have no data, Bluetooth on but nothing connected, WiFi on, not used for media watching like Netflix or YouTube.Hope this helps someone

Why does anyone waste money on flagship phones?
I had the last several Samsung flagship phones (converted former iPhone owner), and don't see why I would ever spend twice the money on a flagship phone again. I can't tell the difference between this one and the more expensive ones I've owned in the past. Super happy with it, does everything I need as a normal smartphone user.

Bueno
Un teléfono muy útil, pero el sensor de humedad es muy sensible lo cual en ciertas ocasiones no te permite cargar el teléfono.

Moisture detected issues
It has been 18 months since I have purchased the phone. It takes wonderful pictures. It is fast to charge, and does every thing I want it to do. But the consistent ‘moisture detected’ error message, and now lately rebooting issues makes it a terrible buy. I was hoping to get at least 3-4 years from it, but to spend $350+ on a phone that does not even make it past 2 years without issues is not worth it. There is no moisture in the phone. I have cleared the cache with a hard reset and It resolved the issue for about 3 days. I have no idea what is causing the rebooting issues. The phone needs replacing now, it is my only means of telephonic communication and it needs to work good.

Black screen after a few weeks!
I got the samsung galaxy a8. At the first few days, I noticed that the phone does not recieve some of the phone calls but I just thought it was because of my phone service.Right at 50 days the phone keeps turn black screen eventhough I still hear notification and incoming call, so I have to reset it but it's still having this problem time I try to use the phone and see only black screen. Sometimes the phone poweroff by itself even the battery is above 50%.Now I don't think I can return this phone anymore because it has been more than 30 days and there is no warranty. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!
