Much easier than scissors to get an accurate square cut exactly between the pictures
I hang my negatives in the shower to dry. When dry, I use this cutter vertically while the film is still hanging. Then I put the cuts straight into an archive sleeve. I find this is the best way to minimise dust. I was using scissors before and a lot of my cuts were not perfectly square. This gadget makes it so much easier to get an accurate cut with less chance of mistakes, and easy to use in the tight confines of a shower. If you use a scanner holder like BetterScanning, you need an accurate border so the T pieces have something to grip.. The markings on this device make it easy to know where to cut exactly between the two pictures. Note, I've only tried this on 6x7 film and haven't tested 35mm.

VERY useful. I'd definitely recommend.
Yes, you *could* just use scissors.Yes, it's a tiny bit overpriced for what it is.Yes, I'd still recommended it. It's a great time-saver. Very neat and easy cuts.If you don't have one, you should get one.It will definitely get a lot of use.

Brilliant
Can't believe I've survived all these years without this. I'm used to cutting my negs with a paper cutter with the inevitable slippages and bad cuts resulting in many ruined negatives. This makes perfect cuts every time. So easy to use on top of a light box. No longer am I holding my breath on each cut hoping it's going to be straight and in the right place. The film is held really securely and you just use the wheels to move the film backwards and forwards until it is in the right place. If you're cutting up film rolls you need one of these.

Sent by Fedex who demand import tax
The item itself is very good, a little pricey for what it is, but there aren't many alternatives.HOWEVER, the item was sent from Korea via FedEx who are now demanding £19.40 in import tax. That means the item has now cost me £53.25.SERIOUSLY UNIMPRESSEDI recommend you don't buy this item from here.

Really useful tool for cutting straight.
Easy to use and load. It's difficult to cut straight with scissors so I'd really recommend this.

Far easier then using scissors!!!
I am into developing film and like most have been using scissors to divide up the negatives. The downside to that is that its not always easy to see between images an sometimes you get a wonky cut. This slicer is so easy to use and its a doddle to get a straight cut where you need it.Had to wait a few weeks for delivery, but well worth it.
