Q: do you use the #8srb die for a#6 barrier crimp

The purple #8 reduced barrier is the same as #6 standard barrier.

Q: where do get the ferrels to crimp? Am i calling them somthing wrong in search? ferrell? Crimp? sheath? Fitting?

We call them fittings,most part stores sale them for AC and fuel, our shop does AC and this tool fits in those tight places

If I'm not mistaken, the #8 reduced barrier and #6 regular hose use the same die

Q: Will this work on standard Hydraulic hoses with hydraulic fittings?

You have different size hoses and fittings, but when they are installed they are the same crimp as a hydraulic hose. If they will hold a vacuum and freon they will hold hydraulic pressure. Crimped one on a small tractor and it has held for over a year now.
