Complete Roast Caramel Macchiato Coffee Protein

This one taste better than the others I’ve tried. I reordered it the other day.

Smelled like sour milk and tasted even worse. I had to throw it away. Very dissatisfied. Would give it zero stars!

I mixed one serving of this protein coffee with a little water, ice, and some 2% milk. It mixed quite easily in a blender bottle. It did taste somewhat creamy - and would be better with more milk and less or no water. The taste was fine. However, the stevia (or monk fruit?) does make it a little bitter in my opinion. Minus one star for the bitterness. Also, the package says two things: 1) 73mg of caffeine per serving, and 2) one serving is equivalent to 2 espresso shots. One of those is wrong! Two shots of espresso would be around 150-200 mg of caffeine. Minus another star for this ambiguity.

This product works okay as a caffeinated beverage. I guess a little protein being in there is a nice plus… but let’s be honest, you can get coffee and protein in a variety of places and ways that taste hundreds of times better than this. The flavor described is “caramel macchiato” but If I had to guess the flavor, just imagining based off of what I taste I’d say it tastes like taking a bite of a glob of butter that had a little brown sugar sprinkled on top. This product did not taste good at all and I would not recommend it to anyone. I was especially excited, as I am a bariatric patient and I am always looking for new sources of protein. I will not be adding this to my regular grocery list, that is for sure.
