Nostalgic Jelly Filled Assorted Jubilee Pillow Soft Mints (Lemon, Strawberry, Orange and Mint) - 4.0 Ounce Box (No Fat)

The title I have chosen for my review pretty much says it all. I was expecting the item shown in the picture, however the mints that I received weren't white (as pictured) but instead a butter-yellow color, which made even wanting to taste them unappealing. I thought that because they were yellow instead of white that they must be OLD. I checked the date on the package and was pleasantly surprised to see that they were indeed reasonably, "supposedly" fresh stock. Next came the disappointing TASTE test. It too was a failure! Where was that MINTY taste I was hoping for, when I placed my order? The worst part is that when I finally got around to complaining or "attempting" to return the disappointing mints - the time to do so had expired 5 days ago. Keep this in mind - if you are not happy with the product, DO NOT procrastinate in sending the item back. Do it right away so this doesn't happen to you. My review: Appearance=POOR, Taste=POOR.

These candies are as good as the similar ones with no jelly filling! They melt in your mouth fast and allow you to put another one in your mouth immediately afterward. Be sure to FLOSS afterward to get all the jelly out from between your teeth though.

I used to have these all the time as a child. The inside is supposed to be similar to a chuckle/gumdrop/dots and the outside should be chalky like a butter mint. The inside was harder than fruit leather and the outside just crumbled and broke in an unsatisfying way like I would imagine biting a paper wasps nest to be. The taste was almost freezer burned. Ate a second one from the other end of the package just to make sure I didn't get the one that had been recovered from the floor of the factory a year later. Nope, second one tasted just like the first. Threw the rest out. Fortunately I ordered some plain butter mints at the same time so I could get the flavor of these out of my mouth.

The product came stale and having to throw them out seeing you cannot return them. Amazon was great in getting the issue at hand resolved in a timely and professional manner! Richardson should be ashamed of themselves for sending bad product to customers.

The mints were not soft at all very stale nothing like I remember them being not satisfied at all!!!

These were the worst jelly filled mints ever. They were so hard we couldn't eat them. I had to throw the whole order away. Then ordered the softest most delicious mints from nuts.com
