Moccamaster is amazing along with the Panosonic toaster are my 2 favorite used everyday items. I break a glass carafe a year. The original carafe is magical as it does not fog up and looks beautiful. This replacement works equally as well but is thicker glass so it fogs up doesn’t look as sleek but is definitely sturdier. As with most things it’s the difference between Lalique and Lenox.

The old carafe broke at the handle, which is flimsy. You can see the broken piece of you look closely. This one doesn’t dribble if you pour quickly, has a much stronger handle and had a protective metal ring. Overall superior to the original.

I am very disappointed with this product. The thing that broke on my original pot is just as weak and fragile on this pot. That thing is the two flat pieces that stick up from the handle where you attach the lid. You have to take the lid off every day to clean the pot. Those two pieces take a lot of wear, and they are thumb pressure points. They should be much stronger. One side cracked and broke on the original pot, and this pot will do the same. Not only that, the lid does not fit properly and securely into the slots. It can fall off while pouring coffee if you don't hold on to it. The lid appears to be made of different and softer kind of plastic that makes it not as sturdy. It also came with two plastic "things" that appear like they are supposed to clip onto something. There is nothing that tells me what they are for. I am going to return this.

Perfect for my Moccamaster. Perfect fit. Cheaper, better made, and somehow with greater capacity than the original.

The carafe is an adequate replacement for the original MoccaMaster carafe. It's not a perfect match, but it does work just fine. The handle is also on the small side...maybe too small for some mens' hands, but fine for ladys'. It's a nice quality item overall.

The original coffee pot did not pour well and dribbled all over when refilling the resevoir or pouring into to a cup. The best thing about it was the makers name on the pot. The new pot is a joy to use and doesn't dribble. I was going to rate it a four because the lid, that flips up is a little sticky, but overall it's a 5!
