Canon Battery Grip
I used it on my Canon T8i. Works perfectly, and gives me the additional grip and batteries.

Double Your Capacity
It fits my T7i perfectly. The battery cover on the camera must be removed - very easy. There's a compartment on the grip to store that door so it doesn't get lost.

Works Exactly As Intended
I have the Canon EOS 77D, and this battery grip fits perfectly. The material feels almost like that of Canon camera. With this battery grip, it really balances out and proportionate the camera well, especially when mounted with long lenses. This is a great and convenient way for me to do outdoor photography with the two extra batteries. It does make the camera heavier, but I would trade this for not missing out the money shot any time. There's a couple of minor issues I find. First, the battery compartments are like airtight. As a result, when ejecting the battery, it does not come out far enough for me to easily retrieve. Second, the required use of Shutter Release cable to control the shutter on this battery grip is a little bit of an inconvenience, and not very aesthetically pleasing. I have another model with battery grip that does not need cable like this, and it looks more professional in my opinion. Nonetheless, this battery grip works exactly as intended.

Neewer Never Disappoints
The same Neewer quality you know. It's right on the middle of the road. Not cheap, and won't break the bank either. You know what you're getting off you but Neewer, and they have almost everything you need! They did a good job matching the feel and texture of the camera, and the extra battery is very helpful when if you don't use the grip.

Great design and extended battery life, but one concern
The design of the battery grip is very well thought out. All you have to is take out the std battery and remove the battery door, it is designed to be easily removable, them insert the grip and tighten the tripod mount wheel. The grip is tight and you can insert two Canon batteries so you can shoot for hours. If you plug in the small cord that comes with it and then turn it on you have two buttons for shutter release and can shoot in portrait or landscape mode. The only thing concerning is that when I first put two batteries in it gave me an error message that the batteries might be counterfeit. I then tried each battery directly in the camera, then one at a time in the grip, finally both batteries in the grip and never had the error again. I hope this will not happen again. Otherwise I like it and expect to get plenty of use out of it.

Vertical shooting made easy
This grip has made vertical photography with my T7i a breeze. The grip brings a nice sense of balance to the setup while lining up shots. Build quality feels and looks great. Love the factory look, with the grip installed everything simply looks all OEM. Very satisfied

Advertise to Fit Canon T8i
Not exactly true. Canon T8i camera door is not removable. You have to take the camera a part to fit this on it. Not willing to take that chance.

I thought that the 800D was the same as the T8I but my mistake it isn't.
I thought that the 800D was the same as the T8I but my mistake it isn't. It seems like a good item but I can't use it because my battery door cover isn't removable. If you get one just make sure your battery door cover is removable. Neewer can make some pretty good products

Good Quality Vertical Grip With Just One Slight Niggle
This Vertical Battery Grip from Neewer feels well made. Made of good quality plastic, it feels quite robust too. It attaches securely to the camera via the camera’s 1/4”-20 tripod socket, and it has its own ¼”-20 socket in its base so that you can still attach your camera to a tripod (or other device) without the need of removing the vertical grip first. In use it felts comfortable to hold and well balanced, whether using my camera in landscape or portrait orientation. When shooting in portrait it allowed for much better grip and control over the camera, and having the shutter button under my thumb was a much more comfortable shooting experience. As a bonus, having this grip also allows you to use two batteries to power your camera instead of one, which is so much more convenient than having to change your batteries part way through a shoot. The only negative I have is the fact that you have to connect a short shutter release cable between the grip and the camera. Whilst there might be technical reasons that mean this is the only way to do things, it is an intelligent solution, that lets down an otherwise well designed grip. It’s not something I would knock a full star off for though, especially as otherwise the grip is excellent.~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest and impartial opinion about it. That’s what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~

BUYER BEWARE
I purchased this battery grip for our son's Canon Rebel T8i as a Christmas gift. The grip is advertised in the posted ad as being compatible with his camera. Upon receiving it the box did not list the T8i as being a compatible camera. So I contacted Neewer directly from their website to ask them if it was, I am still waiting for a response to my email...that was 3 days ago. When I did not hear back from them I decided to contact Canon directly to ask them. WELL...I found out that the Rebel T8i is NOT EVEN MANUFACTURED for ANY type of battery grip. So this is being falsely advertised as being compatible with a T8i!! Needless to say I returned it!!
