Great game for a pre-schooler
We liked the game a lot. My child is challenged and the game is well designed for his age. He is 4. I like the simplicity and the easiness to use. I definitely recommend it for a pre-schooler.

Perfect gift for my kindergartner
I ordered this to be here in time for my (now 5 year old)'s 5th birthday in August. He just started kindergarten this year, but is already a great reader and loves words and trying to spell things. Initially, he got a little frustrated with this game when he would run out of time to find the letters or not be able to find one (because the letter was on a tile he already used). Now that he understands it, he just has fun playing the game. I wish that it came with batteries - so FYI, you will need 2 double A batteries. It also would be beneficial if it had optional additional tiles/cubes. Overall, fun game for 5-7 year olds!

So Fun for Little Learners!
This is such a fun adaption to make this really playable for younger kids & developing learners! It's really accessible & approachable. Pairing the images with the words on the cards is great & helps to reinforce the understanding of what the word/object/animal is. It's been a hit in our house!

Great for pre-k to maybe first grade
This game is very cute and well made. It's nice that there's two ways to play it so that you're able to use it with very young learners as well as slightly more advanced ones. One side of the cards has 3-letter words but not all of them are easily decodable (for example "pie" and "ice") so if you're using a phonics/science of reading/Orton Gillingham method of teaching reading, you'll want to go through the cards first to pull anything that may trip up your learner. The other side of the cards have 4-letter words that include some more complex (like "bowl" and "boat") elements as well. Over all, there's a good range of words and my daughter enjoyed playing this game even though, at 7, it's a bit too easy for her in any mode. Although it does say it's aimed at pre-schoolers, I definitely would not use it with kids under 3 due to the choke-hazard presented by the size of the letter dice. I think it would mostly appeal to kids in the 4-6 range but of course there'll be outliers in each direction that'd benefit from it as well. I did find it annoying that the box is so oversized that there's a large piece of cardboard placed inside specifically to take up space. That seems both wasteful and misleading so I'm docking them a star for it.

fun little game, easy for the littles
the excitement my 4 year old has when he spells a word right is enough for me to give this 5 stars.it is a fun family game and gives enough of a challenge for him, it does get a little challenging when one cube has the letter you need, my son is starting to get that he has to go through the other cubes to find a second letter, but we have to practice that more.the pieces are all rounded and smooth and light weight.

Great learning game for littles
We got this game for a 4 year old and almost 3 year old. The gameplay has two modes, one appropriate for earlier learners and another mode that is more advanced. The pictures are bright and colorful. I agree that it helps with object and word recognition, letter recognition, and matching. The only thing I would change is put in more animal words, and make the animal illustrations a little more realistic rather than cartoony. But that may just be our style!

Too High of Expectations
This edition of Boggle Jr. is perfectly fine. But I think I set my expectations too high.Having recently acquired another game by this brand, I expected that the game would have been similar in boxing. The other game came with easily removable box stickers. First sticker on the Boggle game completely ripped the finish off the box. UGH. Negative 10/10. I love the plastic free effort, but it was kinda of ruined with the ripped box.The cards inside came a bit warped. They're not flat. They're not bent and they're still useable, but not quite the quality I would have liked in a game that has a list price of $20. The box is much bigger than it needs to be as well, this could have fit in a small, classic boggle game box. Additionally, it's really a one kiddo at a time game. This could have come with more letter cubes and a second letter holder for at least two person or even two teams of kiddos. It's fine. There's nothing wrong with it. If you want Boggle Jr, get Boggle Jr! It's just average for me.
