It earned a 5 over time
I had originally planned to rate this 4, but over time it has earned a 5. I bought it on impulse after realizing I chew on my fingers at times, even though I'm not fidgety overall. I even have a callus on one finger. I think I must have chewed my fingers since I was a child, since I had calluses then too. Now I notice that when I'm reading on my laptop and using the mouse with my right hand, I often find myself unconsciously starting to chew on a finger on my left hand--must be stress. At first I found the hedgehog rings a little smaller than expected and slightly prickly. They aren't comfortable to keep still on my finger, but I do roll them up and down and between fingers. They do have a slight metallic smell, which I've gotten used to. As an adult I have had no problem with them breaking; I used the gold one for 2 months with no problem till I dropped it and can't find it. The 2nd one, which is blue, feels slightly softer. I have decided the slight discomfort makes them work better because it gives that sensory element that reduces stress for me. I have two other items that I've tried--a fidget ball and a worry stone--that I actually LIKE better, because they feel better. However, I see that the hedgehog ring is the one I keep reaching for, because apparently it does the trick better. My finger callus is now gone. For me these have proven themselves over time.

Love!
The sensation these produce is hard to describe. It scratches an itch I didn't know I had. The only downside is you can't leave them on your fingers, or at least i cant, because it is so snug. But it was a fabulous purchase!! I have already given a few away to others and they love them too.

Soothing fidget
We have lots of fidget gadgets. This is by far one of my all time favorites. The kids slip them on their fingers and can fidget between tasks or while they think or talk. They could write with it on. Its small and portable and obscure compared to something like a pop it or fidget cube. I can keep a spare in my purse for when it is needed. It seemed to be more calming than some of the other fidgets we have. I highly recommend these! Just a note it is small and more suitable for kid fingers, but you need to make sure your kiddo doesn't put it in their mouth as it could be a choke hazard which is bad because it is metal.

Only received 9 out of 10
Missing 1 of the springs in package. For the price listed I am dissapointed that I didn't receive the correct amount.

Definitely fidget friendly, and surprisingly soothing
I really didn’t know what to expect when buying these. My 17 year old asked me to buy them because they like to try anything “fidget” related. They have a compulsion to chew on things so they resort to fidget toys to prevent chewing. It was a whole box of these fidget rings. They’re made of metal and I guess you just put them on your fingers and mess with them. Personally I don’t need stuff like this but three of my kids LOVE them. The 17 year old, the 13 year old, and my 6 year old. They love them and have been using them. I tried one to see what the fuss was about - they’re a little right but they have a cool texture to them and it feels good to roll them up and down your finger. Almost massage-like. It feels pretty nice. At the end of the day, they are helping my oldest with anxiety so that’s a win for me!

Perfect amount of sensory input!!!
At first I was a bit of a skeptic when I opened the box. They were suppose to be for my son for school but I've commandeered them for myself. These little things are made like a spring but they are hedgehog for a reason, they kind of prickle your finger almost like accupuncture but not actually puncturing your skin. I've attached a video. I have ADD and trouble focusing and these give just the right amount of pressure to get the sensory input without any type of pain. I can't wait to try out one at my next meeting. They also come in a variety of colors which can hide what it actually is. I think these rings outdo the fidget cube a by far. My husband decided he liked them too so we both tested them out in the video. I will definitely be checking out more products by this company!!!

Not comfortable
I purchased these for my autistic son, so that he could keep his fingers out of his mouth. These were not comfortable at all! He only wore them for a few minutes and said that they were too hard, and they were too tight, and he is only seven years old. I put them on to see how they felt as well, and they were definitely harder than I expected them to be and they were tight as well. I do not recommend these.
