Tastes like plastic
I recently purchased a hydration water bladder for my outdoor activities, and I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the product. The bladder is well-made and has a good capacity, but unfortunately, the plastic taste is so strong that it makes the water undrinkable.I tried cleaning the bladder multiple times with soap and water, but the plastic taste just won't go away. I even left it filled with water for a few days, hoping that it would help, but it didn't. The taste is so overpowering that it ruins the whole experience of drinking water from the bladder.I was really looking forward to using this bladder on my hikes and bike rides, but the plastic taste makes it impossible to enjoy. It's a shame because the bladder is otherwise well-designed, with a sturdy construction and a convenient tube for drinking.I would not recommend this product to anyone who values the taste of their water. It's not worth the frustration and disappointment of trying to use a bladder that makes your water taste like plastic. Save your money and look for a different hydration solution that won't ruin your drinking experience.

Gladder for this Bladder [FIVE STARS]
I recently ordered a 1.5-liter MOLLE hydration pack through VINE from a different vendor. What showed up was a nice MOLLE bag, but no bladder to go with it! It’s been kind of sitting on a shelf since then. Lo and behold, the “Sierra Designs 2L Hydration Reservoir with Bite Valve” shows up on the items selection page and I thought to myself, “why not?” I clicked the order button and this bladder showed up just 2 days later. This is a 2-liter capacity bag with a flexible clear vinyl delivery hose and a bite valve. The bag is claimed to be BPA free. Rather than a screw lid or cap like may other bags have, this one opens from the top, reminiscent of a zip-lock bag. To be clear, this does NOT rely on zipper action to seal, rather, there are two rigid bars that clamp the mouth of the bag closed. The clamp is secured with two toggles. It’s difficult to say how long this will remaining water-tight over time and with repeated use, but the design allows for easy filling, good cleaning/sanitation, and the ability to chuck in a few fistfuls of ice cubes if desired. The manufacturer, by the way, recommends use only with water—no alcohol or dairy products. The bite valve is comfortable on the teeth and water draw is adequate. The valve appears to seal well when one’s bite is released, but there is a switch on the mouthpiece to force the valve permanently closed if you don’t intended to draw from the bag any time soon. The bag can be suspended by the clamping bars on top, which feature a slotted opening for your carrier’s strap, clip or lanyard. The straps/clips inside my MOLLE carrier, unfortunately, cannot pass through that slot (too narrow), so I don’t have any way to positively secure the bag. However, there is an inner support pouch in my carrier; the bag slides in just fine and this appears to be support/restraint enough.I’m glad to have found this product, it has unlocked the value in the my otherwise bladder-less hydration satchel.

Leaks at top
Doesn’t completely shut. If bag is not completely upright, water leaks out the top. Would not recommend.

Spews water everywhere if you forget to close the on/off valve
Not a fan of the new on/off valve switch! As an extra leak prevention method it would be great, but upon receipt ours immediately spewed water everywhere anytime the valve was in the on position! Bite valve did nothing to prevent major, major leakage (made a gigantic mess in my car and again a few days later in our dining room) so I'm guessing a weak bite valve was the issue but regardless I had to toss it within two weeks of purchase and buy another one. Would not recommend.
