Mil-TecMen's Us Style M65 Jacket

Like others, I was a little concerned that there ...
This is a superb jacket.Size: I'm, 5'10'', 95 kg and chest 46-47''. There doesn't seem to be agreement as to which size to order. I ordered one size too big and my choice was correct. There is enough chest room to add a separate layer if I wish. I have large shoulders so the XL might have been a bit too small.Appearance: The photo does not do this jacket justice. Like others, I was a little concerned that there may be a 'shine'. As stated by other reviewers, the finish is matt and whatever 'shine' there is only appears in very bright light - strong sunshine, certain room lighting etc. I'm delighted with the general appearance and would urge the seller to replace the photo. The quality of the materials used is excellent. The jacket is very warm and the ability to remove the lining makes this an all-seasons' item. The pockets are deep and the lack of side pockets is no issue for me. Ditto the absence of an inner pocket. The cuff design is ingenious. As with every jacket I own, I have to roll back the sleeves (and prefer doing so). The cuffs are designed to enable 'roll-back' without having to constantly re-adjust. The only problem that I can foresee is the need to wear gloves in very cold weather - the pockets don't keep the hands particularly warm. The jacket feels great and looks great. It is highly functional and stylish at the same time.Delivery: I ordered standard delivery and the package arrived within 48 hours of ordering.I thoroughly recommend both the product and the seller

Very good jacket and worth the money and enjoy wearing it
Very good quality and fit very well and keep you warm in very cold weather in Scotland and I love wearing it in the last few weeks and similar to the one I had when I was in Army. Not sure why some people complained about zip is on wrong side or it is short! It was part of original design to make sure it doesn’t break and make it easier for the soldiers to move and do their daily activities. The colour is very sharp but after few days it wears out and you would not notice it or can be washed to make it a bit blend!

Great product...
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this coat because I was expecting an inferior copy of poor quality but this feels really authentic. Stiching and finishing generally good. Jacket is 65/35% polyester cotton. Liner 100% polyester. Appears to have been manufactured in Germany by Miltec. Detailing (shaping, pleats and fastenings) all well executed. No loose threads. Buttons securely attached. Metal zip. Four large external pockets with metal popper fasteners. Liner attaches with buttons inside. Hood inside collar stores flat when not in use. I normally wear M/L size but ordered M and got a pretty good fit with liner. This is quite a substantial and warm jacket and is described as cold weather clothing on the interior label. Could probably go to a S if I was looking for a more fitted summer look with liner removed. My only slight disappointment was that the liner wasn't finished in a way that allows it to be worn separately, since it would actually have made a decent quilted jacket if the seams had not been visible from the outside, but for £45 or thereabouts, a real bargain. It feels very new, so if you are looking for something more distressed and vintage, probably not for you, but washing and wear will undoubtedly soften the lines a bit

OK jacket
Jacket looks nice but the material is very lightweight, not the heavy feel you would expect for a military jacket so as long as you know this is a fashion copy you probably won'tmind. What is annoying is the liner isn't a greatat h to the jacket. My liner pulls very tight across the armpits despite the jacket having plenty of room there. Clearly the liner is poorly shaped/ sized compared the the jacket itself.I do like the fact you can remove the liner for warmer weather thoughAs I say its an OK jacket but a long way off from the real item

Superb Nam repro from miltec
An excellent jacket with built in hood and removable inner after trying one my size XL which was too large i chose a size l even that is slightly larger when the liner is remove but can be adjusted with built in drawstrings. I found it very warm and good with light rain. Excellent when out in the field shooting film on the trail or camping

Poor quality copy.
Poor copy of the original M65 jacket. Inner is a dreadful polyester filled gilet, with badly finished stitching, rather than the original fleece liner. Pretty disappointed.

Well worth a go for the money. Can't lose
I have been looking for one of these jackets for a while. After I watched Rambo first blood. I have looked around and some of them are scandalous prices. I found this supplier by accident and went for the medium size as recommended. It turned up about the time I was going to contact the seller so it took a while but they did advise this would be the case. This jacket does not and will not disappoint. To confirm it has a button in warm layer which can be removed. High collar and a fully active hood that is inside the zip collar. Not just a fashion statement it does work. There are four pockets on the front which the two bottom pockets are very large. There are no internal pockets but not a problem. I bought this jacket and paid only £38 for medium size. I am looking forward to a bit bad weather so I can give it a proper field test. Love the design and I will state again well worth a risk. I have found similar for over double the price with no active hood or warm removable inner layer. One last point. There are both a zip and fasteners on main jacket.just to add as of 03/09/15 I have used this jacket almost none stop and it is so comfy. I have also ordered the separate winter hood which attaches very easily and is very warm. Sincerely I prefer this jacket to many of my expensive goretex equivalents
