Pentair190003 Tension Control Clamp Kit Replacement Pool and Spa Filter , Black

I have a Pentair FNS Plus FNSP 60 and I took the top off recently to clean the filters which I like to do at least once a summer as it makes a big difference in keeping my pool clean. So, as I put the top back on, I could not get the copper bolt to fasten. My son noticed it was stripped. I researched it and discovered this happens frequently so I ordered a bolt online for $10 and when it came it would not fasten so I went to a local pool supply and the guy told me that my clasp was old as Pentair now has these black clasps he suggested a bolt for me and sold it to me for $70 which is a rip-off I know but it was worth it if I could get the pool pump running again. This bolt would also not fit, and I took it back with the white clasp (shown in picture). I got my transaction refunded as the pool guy explained that my t-bolt was also stripped and bent so I needed a whole new clasp. He quoted me $485 for a new one I told him I'd check online first. So, I went to Amazon and researched clasps and discovered it is best to find a genuine Pentair part not a cheap knock-off, so I found this one which is a bit more than others but is a genuine Pentair part and a lot less than what the pool supply guy was charging. It came one night well wrapped and packaged the next day I went to install. The proper tools are key as I might've bent the original t-bolt by using a crescent wrench all I needed was a 7/8 socket and a rubber hammer. If you put this one on and then gently rap it with the rubber hammer it will eventually fit snugly and tighten with the 7/8 wrench until the spring spirals touch. I turned pump the on and it worked like a charm with no leaks. The pump is back up and running and now I have to get the algae out and water levels back up, but this is the part that worked for me.

I HAVE A PENTAIR FILTER FSN PLUS DE 190003. I HAD REPLACED THE MACHINE NUT LAST YEAR, THIS YEAR THE TBOLT ACTUALLY WORE OUT AND THE MACHINE NUT WOULD NOT GRASP THE TBOLT CAUSING ME TO BUY THE ENTIRE TENSION CLAMP .YOU CANNOT REPLACE THE TBOLT. THE PRICES OF THIS PART ARE VERY EXPENSIVE , YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOUR CLAMP FITS EXACTLY AS STATED IN ORGINAL PROCEEDURES, ALL FILTERS ARE UNDER PRESSURE AND YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THE CLAMP FITS PROPERLY, THE COILS BETWEEN THE WASHERS NEED TO BE TIGHT NO GAPES . THE FILER CAN EXPLODE IF NOT PROPERLY FITTED. THIS IS AN ORGINAL PENTAIR PART LESS EXPENISE THAN MY POOL STORES. VERY HAPPY WITH CLAMP. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, I CALLED TO INQUIRE ABOUT IT BEING A TRUE PENTAIR PART. VERY PLEASED FIVE STARS

This clamp is awesome!!! I have a Pentair Quad DE 80. The unit contains four filter cartridges.My old clamp was bare metal. After years of use, the clamp had lost the end cap. It still closed but was somewhat scary on what might fail next. The bolt also had a sticky spot so the screw would sometimes spin.I ordered this through prime at 3x less than our local pool chain. Arrived quickly in a very sturdy box just large enough to contain the clamp.The box included the clamp, bolt, spring and two nuts already put together. The clamp is a nice black coated metal.These clamps are never easy to self install, but this one seemed easier than the old one. When I screwed the clamp on it really tightened well leaving only one inch of gap. The old one didn't tighten as well probably due to the metal fatigue.I looked up the part number in the manual to confirm this was the right one.

Had to replace OEM Pentair filter clamp after the screw stripped. There is no way to replace the bolt only. So I ordered this one. Fit was fine, but I did not notice that it was missing the small retainer that holds the hole together where the nut tightens up the clamp. It worked fine the first month, and after cleaning the filter I noticed the retainer was not there, like on my original one. The 2 edges of the "hole" split apart and the filter could not be tighted sufficiently to prevent leaking. Contacted the seller and was told they had only 1 month warranty. No refund, no replacement. Had to buy again -BUT FROM SOMEONE ELSE!!

Received order on time and it fit my filter tank perfectly, stopped the leak I had with the old clamp !

I bought two other filter tank bands (not Pentair) that broke before I completely had it tightened. I'm so happy that the Pentair brand was finally reduced, something like 60% so I could purchase it. From now on I plan on replacing it every four years or so. Read where it blew up on someone and caused lots of damage.

Package/ box arrived open. No telling how many times it came out of the box qnd was dropped on the ground. Still no noticeable damage. Time will tell how long it lasts. Price was on point. Local pool company want3d 320.00 minis military discount. When I finally got it on the filter was relieved. Shippimg was delayed by a day. Over all..good purchase.

Awesome product at much less than my local pool supplier. Easily installed and a perfect fit.

Stripped my brass nut and partially ruined the bolt. The T bolt isn't replaceable so I ordered this kit. This kit came with the brass nut, washers and spring and fit perfectly. Thank you.
