Nowhere in the description or images does this listing state the charging ampage, which is 1.5-2.5 Amps. This is 10-16x higher than the official Vax Gator charger for the 10.8v Model H85-GA-B10 (150ma or 0.15Amps). As a result, the charger forces too much current through the charging circuitry on the vacuum, causing it to get dangerous hot and, in my case, emit a burning smell. NOT SUITABLE FOR VAX GATOR MODEL H85-GA-B10

Original charger lasted 3 years until wires to vaccum broke. This replacement unit exact specs for the original .Make sure you have the model in the pictures. A bit expensive for what it is but cheaper than the Vax charger and cheaper than a new one.

This item does not fit Vax Gator 10.8V Handheld Vacuum Cleaner H85-GA-B10.I purchased the Vax Gator 10.8V Handheld Vacuum Cleaner H85-GA-B10 from Amazon and mislaid the charger however the plug to insert into the Vax is far too big and therefore the description is wrong.

Not a lot to say except this work perfectly on a cordless handheld Vax I have. Had it several months now and performs flawlessly.

Great product a real save money item. Needed a new charger for my vax gator. So much cheaper than a pucker one from Vax. Excellent job.
