Novelty gourmet biscuits and great as a food gift for someone
I got these biscuits as a gift for my father on his birthday as they contain two of his favourite ingredients in food. Cherry and Chilli. I had foods before from the East India Company and although there can be mixed feelings on food products from this company, mine has been very pleasant. There are only a couple of cookies in the packaging but it did not mattered so much on this occasions as these are perfect novelty items. The cookies are medium sized and are quite crumbly yet all of interesting flavour. You get the richness of the chocolate chips followed by the strong sweet taste of the cherry following by a slight hint of heat from the chilli that can provide a little extra kick in the aftertaste. I am not really a fan of this flavour as I prefer more sweet tasting foods but my father liked this item and I am happy he had enjoyed eating them. If you prefer to have biscuits but want to try something new for a change whether it be for you or your relatives and friends then I would recommend buying this item and love it or hate there are only a few biscuits in the tin so you can easily eat and finish off this item for about a month or so depending on one's eating habits.

Severely under-appreciated biscuits
Very surprised that these do not have more reviews. These biscuits are fantastic and easily one of the best in The East India Company's range. The cherry and chocolate chip are strong enough to give a great, unique flavour, but also subtle enough to avoid making the biscuits sickly or strange. The chilli is very subtle and gives only the slightest kick after eating, which combined with the other two key ingredients makes this a perfect biscuit. I would also recommend dipping them in tea as this further brings out the flavour, particularly if you are a fan of Chai tea like myself! The only thing keeping me from having a constant supply of these is the price tag. At just under £5 a tube, you get 10 biscuits, which works out at about 50p per biscuit, and so these will last a couple of days at most unless you eat them very sparingly and don't share. Having sat under my desk for three days, clutching the tube firmly in my hands and spitting acid at anyone who happens to glance at them, I have managed to make them last a tad longer but this is unusual. All in all, a lot of money for some biscuits but a nice luxury if you have the money to spare or you're celebrating an occasion. Despite the slightly heavy price, I am still giving these 5 stars as they are fabulous and although I feel a bit pushed by the price, I don't feel ripped off.

Lovely
Very nice biscuits. Only complaint is that they are very crumbly. But the taste is amazing.

Like the Dutch butter cookies my Oma made!
Beautiful crumbly butter cookies like my Oma made for us kids. I've tried Scottish shortbread, but it's not crumbly and there's no intense butter and double cream taste. These are really overpriced...I can make it cheaper for you! Any recipes?

Tasty
Chilli kick was excellent, bit lacking on the cherry side though. These biscuits are thin and crunchy: perfect for dunking in hot drinks. Packaging is excellent- no broken biscuits on delivery. There's only 10 biscuits in the tube so don't let work colleagues know you've got them!

Yum
Bought these as a Christmas for my partner as something different to plain old chocolate.I was privileged she allowed me one biscuit which I must say was delicious. The taste of cookie initially is lovely and then you get the kick of chilli which is really nice. They're a bit on the pricey side though.
