Rockford Fosgate Prime R1S412 R1 12-Inch 150 Watt Subwoofer - 4 Ohm

I have two of these set up in a closed box with a 300 watt amp. The subs dont hit super hard, however I feel that the bass is perfectly boosted now with my system in my truck. On songs with no bass, its not over powering. Songs that have heavy bass, the subs come to life and improve the music greatly. Some people think that they are too weak and are a waste of money, that is until you tell them how much it cost. With the amp, box, and two subs, you can have a great starting set up for under 200$. I think they are worth the money for that if you listen to other music than just stuff that is very bass heavy.

I needed a speaker to upgrade my home theater system. We have an LG Bh6820s-w 1000 watt surround sound blue ray player. It puts out 126w @ 3 Ohms to the 6.5" subwoofer it came with. After searching several weeks for something to enhance the quality of sound (deeper more powerful bass) I arrived at this speaker. (I added it into several modeling programs) The R1S412 that I purchased did not leave me wanting! You can literally feel the explosions! I converted one entire side of our entertainment center into the speaker box. I have a net total of 5.13 cubic feet of internal volume, roughly 90w @ 4 Ohms, and the box is tuned to 18hz with a 15" section of 4" pvc. I stuffed some 1" foam seat cushion into the port to decrease the booming in the lowest of lows it reaches. Could not be happier with the intensity this thing brings to our home movie nights! I've gotten as low as 25hz at 85db. Now that's impressive for a 12" speaker on 90w!

Nice single addition for my 2001 Siverado. Won't blow the doors off but fills the cabin pretty fine. Good choice if you want to add more low end.

Ive had these subs for a month. I bought them on Monday and they arrived on Wednesday because I have prime. After breaking them in for a couple of days they're loud!The subwoofer on my oem receiver is +0 and the bass is -2 and they still bump. I power them with a Sony gtx 800w amp. Putting the bass and sub to the max I can shake my whole car and the side mirrors of the car next to me. I sometimes even set off car alarms driving by. Even though they're loud, the sound quality is very impressive. They do not sound muddy nor do they distort in high volumes. Rockford Fosgate has a reputation for making high quality subs and this one takes the cake!I highly recommend this these to anyone who wants bass in their system.

It did the job until I bridged my amp. The smell of the coil burning up was horrible. Be mindful of how much power you put to these.

Frequency Range is perfect, and sound guality is amazing. The structure of this sub looks a lot like my old 1991 Punch (which still sounds awesome), but this newer version provides lower range and seems to run very well off my old 150w Rockford amp. Lots of quality bass, and the frequency range finds all the bass in Low-Pass, unlike others that only get the very low. Awesome sub for the money, can't beat it.

I can't believe the garbage Rockford is throwing out there nowadays. used to be really respected in the car audio scene, but now I am not sure what sounds better, this or no-named brand Pyles....that actually hit harder. you've heard it many times, the new Rockford is manufactured in china, and believe me, it sounds that way. do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. anything that is not Rockford because the tensil leads on this sub are very weak and burned up with minimal power. again...youll be pissed purchasing this sub. at the price, there are much better options.
