After much research and testing.....
We've been looking for another 3D massage chair to add to our showroom collection, and this chair met all of our requirements and expectations.I personally tested it a number of times before deciding that this was the 3D that we needed, adding 1 more top quality massage chair to our Toms River, NJ massage chair showroom display.We have the Smart 3D in Cappuccino, as shown in the pic.My professional opinion about the Ogawa Smart 3D massage chair, is that it looks great, and is extremely quiet, smooth, and comfortable.I'd rate it's performance as outstanding, it's extremely versatile, can easily accommodate users up to 6' 7".Being used to using remotes, the tablet was a little tricky at first, but with some trial and error I'm catching on.All in all, I'm extremely happy with everything about this chair.Update: 3/12/2017I've used the tablet about a half dozen times so far, and it's actually gotten easy for me to operate!I'm really liking this massage chair.It's level of comfort is outstanding, the rollers have a soft but sturdy feel to them, and the versatility of the air massage brings the customized massage to a whole new level. 2 thumbs up!I highly recommend this massage chair to anyone who's budget will allow it, and we have it here in Toms River, NJ for anyone to try!Nick Fahmie - Massage Chair, Inc. - Sales & Service - Toms River, NJ

Cozzia / OGAWA Repair Service Was Very Slow, But Our New Chair is Now Working Again
I purchased a new Ogawa Smart 3D massage chair (Ogawa OG8020; Ser. No. EC-802AR1806024) on September 17, 2018. I also paid for an extended 5 year warranty. I received the chair 11 days later, on Sept.28, 2018. It went together easily. After having my first massage, I was really pleased with the purchase.On it's first weekend, my family used the chair for a total of 3 hours & 20 minutes. It was great therapy and we were all totally satisfied with its performance.On October 2, three days after we received it, the chair failed 10 minutes into a massage, while I was in its zero gravity position. The lower chair wouldn't stop against my legs' resistance. At the top of the cycle, with the lower chair compacted, the chair abruptly stopped, with me in the prone position. The Ogawa app on the Tablet said to vacate the broken chair & push the Tablet's button to run the chair’s diagnostic tool. I am 73 years old & have significant leg strength problems (the reason I bought this chair). Alone in our family room, I shouted & woke up my son from his sleep, upstairs, to come help me out of the chair. From the supine position, it took me, with the aid of my 6’-3” son, ½ hour to get out of the chair. Not wanting to damage the chair more, we attempted several ways to get me out without hurting either the chair or myself. My son finally grasped the back frame and, lifting, tilted the 320 lb. chair upward, allowing me to grasp a ladder we set up to get out.I used the Ogawa App's Automatic Detection program to determine the failure. It named it a “Fault Code 31”. I tried to transmit this to Cozzia/Ogawa using the App, but a message read out that “the transmission failed”. We have good Bluetooth and WIFI in our house. I tried to send the diagnosis 8 times, all without success.On Oct. 3rd, I called Cozzia service in LA & gave them all pertinent failure info. I also sent them emails describing the failure. The Cozzia Customer Service Rep said that Fault Code 31 indicated a failed PCB board or footrest actuator. The Rep told me that Cozzia would send my the parts immediately & that, within 2 days of the parts arriving, a local serviceman would call me to schedule the repair.Today is Thursday, Oct. 11, 8 days since I reported the failure. Over the past week, I still have received no information regarding shipment of these replacement parts. I have made several calls to Cozzia/OGAWA and written several emails asking when the parts will ship. All answers from the Company have been extremely evasive to date.The chair looks good in my family room. When family and friends come over, I point it out and tell them that I was a real sucker to buy it. A big lesson learned is that you should never use this chair if you are alone in the house & elderly, as it could trap you in it if it fails.A huge financial lessen was learned here too. To spend this much money for a major appliance that one plans on using several times a day, only to find that it breaks after 3 hours & 20 minutes of use, was regretful. But failure happens.However, the total lack of respect for me, the customer, shown to date by Cozzia and Ogawa, in not honoring their warranty, and not sending repair parts in a timely fashion, is despicable. Big lesson learned. Caveat emptor.UPDATE 1:Our chair was repaired on Friday, 10/19/2018, by a Cozzia contractor who was well trained, professional and proficient. The chair had a bad circuit board. Repair took about two hours. The repair man told us to buy & use a surge protector for the chair, because of the number of circuit boards in the machine. I complied before I started using the chair again. Also, the repair man explained that if the chair should fail again in the zero gravity position, to have someone turn the on-off switch on the back of the chair turned off and then back on, then use the switches built into the chair arm to bring the chair back to an upright position without using the tablet. No where in the Ogawa instructions sent does it say to use a surge protector (it makes sense; I use surge protectors on all my other computers, TVs and electronics).UPDATE 2:We have used the chair 20 times over the past 3 weeks (since it was repaired) for a total of nine hours. It is working as designed and I have raised my approval to three stars as a result. Will increase the stars as reliability is shown to be long term. I really like the massage this chair delivers, when it is working.

Couldn't Be More Pleased!
I just had my new Ogawa Smart 3D massage chair delivered to my house a few days ago, and have already been able to indulge in many fantastic massage experiences. This chair is absolutely amazing! First of all, it is so easy to set up with the extremely user-friendly tablet. Secondly, there are so many pre-set massage programs (17, I believe) to choose from. And thirdly, the massages are incredible! After an initial elaborate body scan, the rollers and inflatable bladders coordinate to massage you just where you need them to. And if you need an adjustment in intensity, location, duration (among the many variables) you can make it happen instantly by simply tapping the appropriate scales on the tablet. The massage is personalized to your needs, and all criteria are covered. It's ingenious! My family and I could not be more impressed and pleased. This chair is not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. And in this case, what you're getting is an extraordinary, top quality, state-of-the-art chair providing you with priceless health benefits to not only bring increased quality of life, but also to prolong your life. I only wish this chair had been available years ago.

Very Happy with this Massage Chair
I've owned the Ogawa Smart 3D Massage Chair for about one month now, and I am very happy with it so far. I purchased directly from Ogawa World USA and received great service and a great price. I selected White Glove delivery and installation, an option I recommend - I prefer to let professionals handle delivery, movement, and installation of such a large and heavy product, especially up the stairs. I have really enjoyed the chair thus far, in particular its sturdiness, quality, and many, many features. I like the large number of programs and the ability to customize a massage based on anything I may prefer day-to-day. I also like the smart pad interface and its capability to not only control the chair, but also to access the internet and play media. Bottom line - I highly recommend this high-quality, high-grade product for those that want a high-quality, fully-loaded chair at a good price.

The chair arrived in 3 large boxes. Very well packaged. Pretty easy assembly. Have used the chair every day since it arrived. The chair has exceeded our expectations.
