I recently purchased this device and wanted to share my experience with it. One major downside is the power cable, which is disappointingly short, and to add to that, it's not a USB-C type, which may be inconvenient for users who prefer the latest charging standards. Another drawback is the absence of USB-C ports and a built-in microphone, limiting the device's connectivity and functionality. The remote control provided could be more user-friendly and faster in response, negatively affecting the overall user experience.Additionally, I was surprised that Google does not officially license the product. The Google Play Store as was acquired by rooting the software from a Google Pixel. This raises concerns about the device's authenticity and the potential risk of it being bricked. The operating system is "Android TV" instead of the standard Android OS on a tablet or phone, causing compatibility issues with certain apps not optimized for this specific version. Furthermore, the device is rooted, which poses challenges for some applications, including Hulu, which refuses to function on rooted devices. Lastly, the inability to adjust the screen resolution size, even through developer options, adds limitations that might disappoint potential buyers.

Builded with good material. Very fast response. Easy to operate. Adding other apps or downloads is so simple. Easy to add additional browsers. Plenty Ram and storage space. I put an app that tells you about its specks .Its showing showing 8 gigs of ram.you do have to download kodi your self.But thats no big deal.The reason for the 4 stars is because of the crappy remote so im using antoher 2.4 ghz remote with the dongle.no problems i have 28 days for it to develope a problem.iv always had luck with these.Sept 29th google app store buffers.But when click on search or or anything else it let's you in to choose apps to dl.its snappy with good picture.its not perfect. I'm still try to make up my mind.idky they just don't put a tiny bit more of QUALITYThey could have a real winner.

After about 20 hours of deliberating over every possible android TV Box this was the best compromise of price, features, and future proofing. The 8gb of ram makes it feel very snappy and should counter balance the silicon degrading over time for years to come. 8K Ready and has all the standard bells and whistles outside of the stock remote coming with Voice Control, easily remedied with an upgraded remote-go for a Bluetooth one, then you don't even have to point it at the TV Box and you can hide the little sucker where ever you want.

These things are junk, horrible and almost non-usable and very buggy. Buy at your own risk, the Onn devices and several others out there are better, even though they say 4k. These things have a hard time doing anything above UHD.
