Great purchaseCan’t reach it dust but made a very big improvement to my corridor lighting

Very tiny for my ceiling.

At the end of redecorating my kitchen I was left with the last choice to make. What should I do about the lighting. The kitchen had been lit for many years by a long bar off which were four single lights that could be set to any direction required. I recently installed four LED bulbs and the result was a well lit kitchen. You can however sometimes be too well lit and the warmth of your surroundings can be affected.Having repainted all cupboard doors, laid a new lino and still in waiting for some matching replacement blind slats I came to making the decision of what lighting would suit all the hard work I have done. Looking through the many designs and styles this one caught my eye. The electric consumption economy was a big factor but I liked the look of the total design change it would offer. I ordered the light and several days later the package arrived (I live on a Scottish island so deliveries are expected to be longer than next day).Being experienced but only really needing common sense the old light was removed and the new one installed. It was evening time so the first flick of the switch gave me the real feel of the quality of the lighting. It wasn't as bright as my previous lighting but it gave me the level I find ideal. The 3 LED bulbs can not be set to any other direction but they provide a nice mood that suits the style and colour of the kitchen (satin pearl barley units). This light what I both wanted and expected. With that in mind Incan give nothing but 5 stars to the well made unit that would any style of kitchen without looking out of place.

Well as everyone said the instructions are near to Impossible to understand.It arrived well packaged, It’s a good quality light fitting apart from the original bulb.The bulb will last a few years but worth spending the money on upgrading it at a later stage.So the unit comes with theceiling section - holds the light fitting and wiring.metal sectionSpacerGlass - etchedSo this is where everything gets confusing.How you put all that together!!!Instructions shows you the bolt and pictures of what looks like bolt/spacer. Problem is that there’s three different type of washers.So the method I went with wasBolt and small metal washer into the ceiling unit.Then the metal plate onto it.Then the big metal washerThen small metal washerThen the nutThen the metal spacer - flat section on silver plate bit.Then the big rubber washer.At that point fit the led lights.Then the glass panel.Make sure the smooth side faces out.Then the small rubber washer.Then the smooth little round nut.

I ordered three of these lights. Firstly they come unassembled, and you have to assemble them yourself. There’s lots of little screws and washers, The first one was tricky to assemble as the diagram isn’t great. Once assembled, the second and third were simple. Each light has three bulbs (supplied) however on one of my light fittings, one of the three bulbs is loose and not fitting correctly into the bulb holder, causing the bulb not to work, unless pushed to one side. Disappointing really, as they are a nice looking light fitting, and once assembled they are easy to fit to the ceiling.

This lighting unit arrives well packed and very quick, but does require assembly, which could be a a bit fiddly if you are not used to handling small nuts and washers etc. The assembly plan could be a bit clearer. The trick to connecting the wiring to the house wiring is to use a 30cm snap tie or piece of string threaded though the newly mounted ceiling bracket to support the lighting unit whilst making the connections. I have used 8 of this type of light now and it still takes quite a while to assemble and connect in place, but the result is worth it.

Well made, larger then i thought but the light effect was not what i expected and warm light did not sit well so i returned it, having said that the return was easy, fittings were good and for others it may well go really well in a different setting, a little fiddly and it is a bonus to be able to change the GU10 bulbs yourself.Overall it would be rude not to give this a good review, just was not for me.

great value !, good quality for the price and easy to install !. only thing to remember with these LED `S , is to reverse the wires as they only work one way !, unlike a normal bulb , no harm is done to the unit !, just you get no light , some of the other reviewers have slated this product as no use or good ! . ( That may be why they have Slated this unit ) ,only thing I don`t like is the light is a bit yellow as I`m used to a whiter light ! , with having a few led`s fitted around the house. I will order the bulbs with a whiter look as they are straight forward to fit one you have done the initial fitting of the unit ,bulb replacements are GU 10 `s if you don't already know the type !,
