Perfect amount of great information- Concise and Encouraging
This book is such a blessing to me. I was on information overload looking up Anemia on line after being diagnosed. This book sums up all the important information. The author speaks directly to the reader, and is as encouraging as a good coach.A great, simple, effective guide. I highly recommend this book if you’ve been diagnosed with anemia, and have been told to take iron supplements.

Very informative read
As someone who struggles with anemia, this was a really informative read. I appreciated the inclusion of recipes I'll definitely be trying some. I also learned about habits I didn’t realize were making my anemia worse. I used to rely solely on iron supplements, which never seemed to help, but this book helped me understand why. A helpful and eye-opening guide.

Helpful guide, nice simple recipes, good information on what it is and how to deal with it
When my husband was diagnosed with low hemoglobin, I wanted to learn more about what foods I should concentrate on and some meal guides that would be healthy for him (and us). This explanations in this book are simple for us lay people to understand, what it is, how to cope with it. It has the usual list of foods that are good for anemia, nothing outrageous, things we eat already, like broccoli, salmon, cherries, strawberries, edamame. And it has some nice recipe ideas, like a simple chicken soup, chili, and edamame salad. It's not a cookbook but has good guidelines, thought starters. I'm happy with this purchase and anxious to do the best I can for my husband and myself.

Good source of information
I was really getting mixed information about iron and what to eat. This book was easy to understand and the recipes were not super weird. I gained a lot of good information. Made me feel better about my anemia.

Not written by a medical professional
This book is essentially garbage. It’s written by a freelance journalist, not a medical professional. There are no citations to back up anything the author says and there are maybe four recipes total. In no way is this a cookbook. I have no idea how this got so many high ratings.

Simple reading with all relevant information for someone new to iron deficiency.
Easy to understand and simple breakout of iron deficiency and how to manage it. It could use some editing in the writing. The section on how to take iron supplements has some odd sentences that don't make much sense. It was written as an essay with filler words for a grade. Overall good info though.
