Much cheaper brands available elsewhere. Also not happy with thick coating of food dyes + other additives.
Bought locally in London. Have only just started taking them. Was disappointed to discover that the tablets are coated in a thick layer of red dye. Took a long time to wipe it all off with a wet cloth. Why is this dye even needed? The tablets also contains dicalcium phosphate, which is a problem for people with parathyroid problems (we already have too many phosphates in our blood). I should have spent longer choosing, but was v ill, so in a hurry.Lastly they have added vitamin B6 (10mg/tablet, which is already 714% of your RDA). So, if you need to take 5 or more of these per day (during flare ups of severe M.E), you'll be taking at least 3,500% of your RDA for B6. Many people say it's no problem to overdose on B vitamins, because they're water soluble, so you'll just pee them out. But if you look into it, too much B12 can cause a long list of horrible symptoms. And those with liver problems cannot withstand too much B6.Conclusion: These are not suitable for people wanting to avoid food dyes, and who may need/want to take more than 1 or 2 a day, or who have liver problems.Re-Cost: They also cost about 0.8p/mg, whereas ''Healthy Origins'' brand cost 0.1p/mg (bought pack of 150 softgels, 300mg each, from iHerb.com. Will ship to UK, although it costs about £9, so you need to spend quite a lot to make it work out). Also, Healthy Origins brand uses Kaneka Co Q10, said to be high quality. Healthy Origins come as softgels, so you can easily pop them open with a pin and squirt it into a drink, or even just rub it into your skin (dark straw colour oily liquid-does not stain skin like the liquid inside Fitness Pharmacy brand Co Q10 softgels does <nasty bright orange inside those). When you spend time looking into different supplements, it's amazing how much the prices vary, also the quality, and the number of brands that add potentially/known to be harmful additives. It's well worth looking into each product before buying, otherwise you can end up paying up to 10X the price, for the same or even inferior quality. (Should have taken my own advice on this one!)
