The Chemical Hut 10kg Kiln Dried Wood Logs for Firewood, Pits, Open Fire and Stoves

This is the second lot of wood that we have had from this seller, the first lot being hardwood, this being softwood. We used it on a Biolite firepit and, unlike local suppliers who claim their wood is dried, this stuff really is. Had a really great, smokeless fire that lasted a good 5 hours. Softwood burns faster than hardwood but puts out more heat and this stuff was perfect. Would order again

Very prompt and quick delivery.Wood is nice and dry and for me I think the size is just perfect for my outdoor fire-pit.I bought the 10kg sack and I think next time I'll buy 40kg.10kg doesn't seem like much and I think I'll burn through these in 2-3 sessions.EDIT: Having actually burned some wood, I now agree with other commenters; Some of the pieces are a little large for small scale use. Lengthwise it's fine, they are rather too wide some of them. No biggie if you've got a splitting axe...Once you get the fire going, it burns well and gives out a decent amount of heat, but you need a fair bit of smaller pieces to feed it. (I had some kindling lying around).Also, they seem to smoke a little more than expected, but hey... It's wood and fire. It's gonna! :)
