The best 'no-nasty chemicals' deodorant I've tried
I bought this at the start of the the year and I feel like I've really put it through it's paces. I'm a performer (who sweats a lot!) and I've been touring a very active show to some wildly different climates; from the tiny cold Scottish isle of Mull to the south of France in 40 degree heat to very humid Singapore.Of all the natural deodorants I've tried, this it the best at deodorising - of course it doesn't stop the sweat, but it stops me smelling awful, even after many hours of sweating with heat and after running around on stage. I LOVE the smell - I have the purple Onsen one. It's quite strong, but I love this. I'd much prefer to smell of this than BO! And it's not like the fragrance is overbearing after it's applied. You only really need to use a small amount, and it lasts for most of the day. I think the tube itself will last quite a while - I got it in January, and I'm perhaps half way through in July? Oh, and it hasn't left any marks on my clothes. The only thing I've noticed is that extreme temperatures can have an effect on the thickness of the paste. When I was in Scotland, it was snowing outside and fairly cold inside, but not freezing. The paste became very hard to squeeze out! Not impossible, but difficult. Then, in very hot climates, at about 40 degrees Celsius, it becomes very thin and a bit watery, so you need to take care squeezing it out, as it'll flow out very quickly. However, I really haven't minded this at all. Perhaps in order to stay consistent in all temperatures, you'd need to add chemicals - then it wouldn't be a natural deodorant!Overall, it's the most expensive deodorant I've ever bought, but as a sweaty performer, it's a great investment. It's the best of the natural deodorants and I love the strong smell. Packaging looks great too. comes in a nice box. I would even say this would be a great gift for a performer!

Good but not perfect.
It is the best natural deodorant I’ve tried so far but still isn’t quite as good as a regular one and VERY expensive so won’t be buying again. It does leave marks on clothing but they come off easily. Texture and smell are nice. The key to wind tube should be free imo and the tube is quite tough to squeeze without.

Not worth the money
Item is good, but does not do miracles...no smell, but still sweating.....over rated....too expensive....not going to buy again.

Like the Product detest the Packaging
So there are lots of things I really like about this product. The scent is divine, and I appreciate that there is no gendering of scents (mostly because I don’t like most products aimed at women since I don’t want to smell like an engineered vanilla pod). I like the effectiveness of the products and I really like that this dries down so unlike most natural products there isn’t a constant film of oil. I find it very effective, and I don’t mind applying with my fingers. The packaging is a nightmare though. I do appreciate the move to make it as eco friendly as possible, but a tube is just not fit for purpose. If you roll it over at the top (without the key thingy that is sold separately) then the tube tears and there’s oil leaking out. If it must be used with the key roller then that should be 100% transparent before purchase. I suspect it might not leak using the key because it would prevent stress points. I understand the aim is to make fully recyclable packaging (on board) but that only works if the packaging is fit for purpose and this is not. The top on the tube is too small to stand it on end, which would help with the seepage issue. I could put it in a plastic bag to prevent the spillage spoiling my furniture but then that defeats the purpose of the plastic free packaging. I also understand why selling the key roller packaged with each tube is not desirable (cost, waste etc) but if the key is the key to joy it needs to be clear. I like the scent (if this was a fragrance I’d be all over it), I love the eco friendly objectives, I like the performance of the product and the overall experience. Please do something with the packaging so I can be a firm fan.

It works
I'm very happy with this product as it works and lasts. My daughter is of the same opinionHave tried others, this one seems best.It doesn't mean one doesn't sweat at all, but sweats acceptably (no dripping from armpits) and I feel secure that no unpleasant scent might develope all working day long.To combine with perfume/eau de toilette I use "no scent - No 00" option, otherwise my favourite is No 05 Columbia road - clean soapy feminine scent and No 01 Orange grove - neutral fresh citrus scent. The "key/squeezer" is important so as to get the whole content safely from the tube, better to buy a less pricy metallic option than the "original AKT key", works well enough.

Not for the active
Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. I am a very active person and use aluminium based antiperspirant twice weekly to get rid of bothersome sweat. I then usually use crystal deodorant under my arms after every shower. This product didn't work for me, and it has taken over a week for the armpit I trialled this on to be odor-free with alum. This is obviously very annoying as someone who runs every day and gyms 6+ times a week!I'm sure if you just want a deodorant to cover up smells and no antiperspirant at all, this might work okay as it does smell great, but for the active person, it sadly just doesn't hold up.I also got this delivered in winter, and it had popped because it was so cold and solid! Not ideal really, but I did get a refund from Amazon. [It took 6hrs to be soft enough to use after that!]I'm going back to alum crystal 🔮

The best I’ve found
I’ve searched for years — YEARS — to find the right deodorant for me. I used to really like the one from Kiehls but it only comes in aluminum-laden antiperspirant (the aluminum stains white shirts grrrr). I like Native okay but their fragrances all smell a little cheap. I’ve tried lots of the mid-upper tier deodorants available on Amazon, but either they don’t work, they irritate my skin, or their fragrances just aren’t good (side note: why do all of the Each & Every deodorants smell like food?). Enter AKT which smells divine, works for two days if I need it to, and lasts forever (ends up being cheaper than Native). I’m using the After Thunder scent which smells so good it’s got me trusting AKT enough to try another scent next time. I only wish they made more nice-smelling stuff, like hand creams, moisturizers etc. YMMV but if you can get used to applying deodorant with your fingers this is the one.

THE BEST DEODORANT
If you’re looking for a healthier transition of deodorant, this is your sign to purchase this product. It lasts ALL day and the smooth texture when you apply this product is amazing. I will never go back to stick deodorant or any deodorant other than this one. Definitely worth the money. Lil on the pricer side but I highly recommend, especially since it last longer than any other deodorant that I’ve tried. Smells amazing too!!

Insanely Overpriced but Effective Deodorant with Pretentious Branding and Terrible Cap
AKT has done it!It has created the most twee, precious, and overpriced deodorant known to man. lolNow that we have artisanal deodorant that uses the vocab of fine perfumery to create a 'scent journey' for the discerning buyer, you wouldn't be wrong to fear that artisanal toothpaste might not be far behind. (Fifty bucks a tube, anyone? Surely some hedgefund-fueled startup is gleefully eyeing your personal hygiene budget, ripe for the picking.)AKT deo is quite effective at controlling odor and applies easily, even if the texture is a bit gritty. In terms of daily use, there are some downsides, though. The packaging seems like a cruel joke at the expense of the consumer. The shiny gold Assistant -- a piece of metal to help you roll the tube and dispense the deo -- is absurd. Having to pay extra just to properly use your $30 tube of deodorant makes me want to laugh and vomit simultaneously.Anyone would be better off buying a generic rolling device; there are even tube twisters designed to act as a base and hold the tube upright, and they cost less than The Assistant (which is oversized and garishly shiny, a weird contrast to the subdued and tasteful industrial design of the deo tube itself). The cap for the tube is an abject failure of product design: it does not always thread properly onto the tube, and it is so small that it will be a chore to manipulate for anybody with arthritis or carpal tunnel issues. It is easy to lose and, worst of all, not large enough to stand the tube upright on it. (If AKT can somehow convince people to shell out good money for a widget to wind the tube, surely it would find some takers for an upgraded bespoke cap with better functionality? lol)Columbia Road scent smells very nice... and, while I haven't tested the deo's longevity claims yet, I'm impressed by its initial performance. I guess I will learn to live with the annoying cap and the laughable Assistant, both of which make me feel like a jackwagon every time I use the product.Welcome to end-stage capitalism, folks. It smells fine.

Excellent Product, Horrible Packaging
I have very sensitive skin but prefer deodorant with fragrance. As you might imagine, it's nearly impossible to find that combination in a product. So many of them give me rashes or otherwise break me out. I'm thrilled to report that this product does NONE of those things. It keeps me fresh for a full day and night, and it smells great. Grown up but still current.Bad news- if you have any kind of hand/wrist weakness or mobility issues, this product is really not for you. The packaging was clearly designed with aesthetics in mind. Form over function. The deodorant is THICK (great thing for your underarms!) but trying to get it out of the tube is a nightmare. The tap is hysterically small and fiddly to put on.Overall- I'm rooting this brand. I really want to love them. But damned if this package wasn't a real pain in the a**

Do not recommend
I was not able to find an ingredient list for this product in the Amazon listing so I went to the product website.Pros:1.Smells good2. Deodorizes all day (not 24 hours)Cons:1. The packaging is good in theory, but horrible in practice. Immediately upon folding over with the key, a tiny tear occured right near the crimp. There is now a leak at the very bottom of the tube. The material used for the tube is too delicate for this application.2. Main deoderizng ingredient is baking soda, which causes it to be gritty and irritating and gives it that "homemade" deodorant smell.3. Does not prevent perspiration at all. I immediately and consistently sweat right through this product.4. The diatomaceous earth used to help prevent moisture only causes more grit and irritation. One use for DE is as an insecticide because it has microscopic sharp edges that penetrate an insect's exoskeleton and cause the insect to dehydrate and die. The DE itself has little to do with the actual dehydration. It is a naturally occurring event related to disrupting the moisture barrier and allowing moisture to escape. The same sharp edges that can cut through keratin don't seem ideal to be rubbed into skin, especially the delicate areas that this product is made for. Conclusion:This product felt very abrasive during application. It left delicate areas irritated and uncomfortable. The seller uses a dramatic origin story to hype sell an inferior product. The product did not perform as promised. I am very disappointed. Returned.
