Solla® 30W LED Flood Lights Outdoor Security Lights, Waterproof IP65, 2400lm, Daylight White, Floodlight,Wall Washer Light [Energy Class A+]

I spent a long time looking for replacement LED lights to update the bulky affairs over our B&B sign. It seemed the majority of the ones I checked out (from various sources) were cheap quality, dangerous imports with a loose or non-connected earth wires. Price did not reflect the bad workmanship and on the surface nor did the reviews until you looked deeper and found the negative ones were typically from experienced DIYers or qualified electricians who had taken them apart and found them lacking. When I 1st looked at Solla I was impressed with a submersion test video and then found a video showing someone taking them apart and everything being in order so I took the leap and bought a couple. Since then they have been in daily use for 4-12 hours per day, come up to full power immediately and have stood the Welsh weather. As you can see from the pictures they are significantly thinner than the old lights they replaced not to mention 1/10 the power usage.My one criticism is the wall mount bracket is not long enough for the cable outlet to clear it when mounted horizontally but other than they they are "fit for purpose" which is a pleasant surprise given the bad rep from cheap imports.

I had a MicroMark 150W halogen with PIR for around 15 years and it's still working like new, but never really used the PIR/LUX facility much as I had the floodlight turned off most of the while, only turned it on/off from the back room every now and then, maybe that's why it's lasted for so long, anyway, I decided to replace it with this modern floodlight (minus the PIR) and I have to say it is an excellent floodlight, at 30W it's even brighter than the MicroMark I replaced, am well pleased with it, I even re-used the same screws and raw plugs, didn't have to drill any holes, just took the old one down by taking the plug off and pushing the lead through the hole in the back room and offered the new one up in the same place (plus 2 extra large washers as the bracket slots were a little larger), fed the lead through the hole in the wall, put the face plate & plug back on and hey presto!Now about the seller, what excellent service he gave. Amazon sent me the wrong order, although it did arrive quickly, in two days, they sent me the 30W Warm White when I ordered the 30W Daylight White; when I contacted the seller, he asked me to upload some pictures of the box where the barcode and stickers were and it turned out that amazon had stuck the wrong sticker on the box. He immediately sent me out the correct order which I received the next day, what more could you ask for!

Good bright light for 30 watts of power. Connecting wires appear to be very light/flimsy but connected ok. Unit remains cool when lit compared to regular floodlights. I would buy this item again.Update: Nov 2017:One year on from installation of this product the story has completely changed - for the past three to four months the led began to flicker and eventually on 22/11/17 failed completely. Very disappointed in this unit as it certainly did not live up to how it was advertised. The led was only used for normal daily usage (no more than 1 - 2 hours) and definitely lasted nowhere between 30,000 to 50,000 hours of life as advertised. This is a poor quality unit and lasted no longer than a regular incandescent bulb would have. Would never purchase a Solla products again after using this unit

Purchased June 2017 and has had less than two hours use. I bought it as low running costs and VFM (I thought) adn importantly with LED 's for a VERY LONG Life.Not so, its just failed and so it was a very expensive 2 hours of light. I will go back to 300 Watt tungsten halogen as they last for at least 1000 hours.Very disappointed with all so called energy efficient lights , the claims for 10,000 hours are grossly over exagerated.

Great light with a really good output. Fast delivery. I use this light on my out in the country to light up the front of my property on the darker nights for extra light when it is needed.

Bought August 2017 fitted September & failed by end of October.Replacement supplied. Been fitted. Hope this one is ok.

Being fed up with halogen always blowing their bulbs every few months, I tried one of these. It is only put on outside when the dogs go out in the dark to do their business. Brought in December 2016 and has just blown today. I hoped it would last longer than this. At a generous estimation of ten hours per month this has lasted approximately 160 hours. In truth it will be a lot less because light rarely goes on on summer days when it's light. Disappointed. Why do things always go bang a few months outside their guarantee?

We fixed this light up on our house wall for letting the dogs out in the back garden which is 70+ foot long, it lights up the whole of the garden and beyond, so we can see perfectly well. We were using a good torch previously, but this flood light is a lot better, no batteries needed constantly, so it will pay for itself very shortly. just plug it into an extension lead and use an on/off plug for ease of use. very happy.
