Fisco BT8M Big-T Tape 8m, FSCBT8M

i have been using these tapes for a number of years and have had at least four if memory serves me ,used fisco before this model,i have had four because i use them in a metal fabrication environment which is harsh on the blade coating and replace because of worn numbers have no doubt this will not be a issue in a carpentry trade for instance, the clip is a joy to use as is the overall size and lock mechanism very well thought out product if they could put more protection on blade for me it would get six stars.be careful when releasing from packaging as this is also well made and tough and it British !

Robust, accurate & long lasting.I've had several of these over the years in 8M & 5M I much preferred the old dark orange & grey colour scheme but these new tapes still seem to be excellent quality.They last me about 3 years daily use as a professional woodworker, & would probably last an amateur most of their life if not abused.

I work in steelwork, this is a nice chunky tape so you are able to use it with gloves on. The belt clip is good because you don't have to fish around in your pocket to find it.

The tape is very well built and foes what it should but i just dont like it i tend to always pick up a cheap stanley tape instead not sure why to be honest its just not for me so sat in bottom of my tool box.

Great quality product and I love the fact it doesn't destroy your belt. Just wish they'd sort the issue with the end bending when it gets 'sucked' back into the main body. The 5m one is dreadful for it, so much so I wont buy the anymore, but these fair a bit better.

A repeat buy as this Fisco tape has a unique belt clip device. Sadly, the clip on this repeat buy soon broke.

I’ve been in the building trade for over 30 years and have used all makes of tape and Fisco is as accurate as anything. 10 out of 10 for the belt clip design, so easy to clip on.

I use tapes a lot and this one does what it says on the tin. Strong, easy to read right up to the tip and a brake that works fully even when the tape is fully extended. I also like the belt clip that can revolve or come off completely. It's a bit heavy but I guess you cant have quality without using material. The thing I didnt like and consider downright dangerous is the hard thick plastic thing attached to it that allows it to hang on the hook in the shop. It took me ten minutes to get it off and I could easily have broken the belt hook that it surrounds. Cutting it as suggested leaves sharp edges and much prying to get it free. Anyone old without strong hands could easily end up with a serious cut.
