Works well
For blending coloured pencils and you can then draw on top once it’s dry. Works on watercolour and Pastelmat paper. Lasts ages. Orangey smell. Not unpleasant but I know not everyone likes it.

Best solvent for coloured pencils!
I absolutely LOVE this product. It makes such a difference with blending my artwork. Whenever I use colour pencils this is my go to for blending, a little goes a long way, one bottle will last ages. I like applying either with a paintbrush (dab excess off onto tissue first) or with a cotton bud, just make sure you use a good paper that can handle liquid, either a mixed media or watercolour paper is great 👍🏽You really can’t go wrong, use a little and blend away! It turns grainy pencil into smooth almost paint like art, I love that you can build up layers too, just ensure there is no moisture in the paper before the next layer. Personally I like the smell it’s quite a strong citrus scent (Zesty if you like 😂) but it’s quite natural and doesn’t smell of strong chemicals at all!If you’re an artist that uses coloured pencils then go for it, you won’t regret it. ✨

The best pencil blender
After using the expensive Sennelier "green" pencil blender, which I couldn't get on with at all because it ruined my stuff, I tried more or less everything else such as Vaseline, etc - apart from another specific pencil blender product as I didn't want to spend out again and be disappointed. I wasn't at all disappointed. I wish I had bought this first. It would have saved a lot of trial and error. This really does work. Brilliantly. Especially with Luminance, Prismacolor, Lightfast etc. Slightly different results with different pencils but still works excellently.

A very useful product to enhance the use of coloured pencils
If you enjoy using coloured pencils you will find this product quite remarkable. Applied using a cotton bud or a paintbrush this solvent liquifies coloured pencil work and turns it into a kind of paint. The result is a very smooth finish which looks like paint, not coloured pencil. All evidence of pencil strokes is eliminated and the colour is intensified considerably. The solvent evaporates quickly, as you might expect, but if you recolour the area wwhile the solvent is still active it will induce the pencil to lay down a deeper, even colour. Because it evaporates so rapidly this solvent will not cause ripples or warping of lower gsm paper. Note that the solvent will affect graphite pencil lines and cause the graphite to smear into the surrounding colour.

2nd bottle
I love this stuff for blending my pencil colourings . I'm no artist , just a lover of the disney mystery colouring books , some of the pages have huge spaces of 1 solid colour which used to take up so much of my pencil , using this I can get the pigment down then blend it out to have a even colour . On other more detailed books it blends to create a nice water colour effect for a soft background

Really interesting effects
I’m new to using solvents with coloured pencil. I was very happy with the blended, even, colour washes I could get with this stuff. Doesn’t smell bad, or evaporate too quickly, but I put a bit in a small dish to use, and keep the bottle capped.

Great product
Great product, works wonders on pencils! Be careful not to use too much - I've poured some out to a tiny container with a sponge to minimise how much I pick up with a brush. Really works a treat. Also the 250ml will last me a lifetime it seems so great value for money.
