Wouldn't fit my bike

Wasn't sure about these given the extremely low price. Spent ages looking at different types but thought I'd give these a go as the pattern seemed closest to the ones I was replacing. They seem really good. Fitted to my wifes bike, it's a town / road bike. She rides it for miles but obviousely it doesn't get the hammering a mountain bike or the like would get. She's been out a few times since I fitted them and says the new brake pads are great and work really well. The brake pads seem to be of good quality and come with all the washers, spacers etc. Wee tip, check the order and size of the spacers and washers on the existing pads before removal. Makes it much easier to re-fit the new ones. I actually used one of the inner spacers from the old set when fitting as it was slightly thinner than the one on the new set. Result, perfect fit. We'll see how they go in a few months but highly likely to buy again.

I checked when I got these and it was July 2015. Since then they've done a 15 mile (total) commute around twice a week. So around 2400 miles.They are now (March 2017) very worn down but still in fact working well. For £3.85 I don't think that's bad. They do not grip quite as well as more expensive ones, but certainly do the job when properly fitted. They work particularly well if the rim is regularly cleaned. I might go up one price bracket next time but for the money they are fine.These are made in the UK which is a positive in terms of air-miles, jobs, working conditions etc.

If you are looking at brake blocks at this price you are not looking for anything special. These are uniform symmetrical brake blocks so interchangeable for any brake position. The spacers/washers are beveled so you can toe in/out to your hearts content, but I found this totally unnecessary, just get the blocks roughly parallel to the rim and you are sorted, no squealing or juddering. You may find the spacers on the large size in which case use those from your existing brake blocks to save time. In my case 10mins and all blocks changed with no bother. At this price I'm not expecting them to last for ever, but being so easy to fit who cares. Obviously I'm happy, but there are a few poor reviews, so check yourself to be sure, but at this price you can't expect the crown jewels. I re-ordered in bulk to keep a stock handy. Excellent product from an excellent seller, arrived in a matter of days. Oh, and they actually stop the bike in the wet and dry.

Fitted these brake pads to my hybrid bike after the originals had worn out. They were relatively easy to fit and set up, with identical fixings to the originals. The pads have improved the braking efficiency on my bike, as it doesn't require as much effort to stop. I would definitely buy these pads again as they are a reasonable price and work well, although I can't comment on how long they will last, as I have just fitted them recently. I would recommend this product.

ok, I wrote a 1 star review which has since disappeared. The rubber easily came off the metal casing, the allen key hole frayed almost immediately. I genuinely feel this product is dangerous and could cause serious injury. Easy to install and everything provided. Longer than my previous ones and giving really good stopping power. No need for gimmicky disc brakes. Not sure yet on durability but guessing it is good and will definitely replace with the same when I need to.
