Las Vegas winters are very cold so this heater was used often. Heater provides instant heat for our entire pato area. One day the heater would not turn on. I contacted customer service and they helped me trouble-shoot and it was decided the unit was dead. They sent out a new unit! Super happy with the product and the fact they stand behind their products!

Like other customer reviews, I found it frustrating spending time trying to figure out which parts go where for pole mount assembly. The photos posted by D. Glass were very helpful. The rotation problem is reduced when you tighten down the screws in the pole bracket. Of course, you then have to loosen the upper screw in order to raise or lower the pole height. The entire pole bracket and its parts would be unnecessary had the manufacturer put holes in the upper part of the receiving pole. Also, you will need a quad screw driver for the lower screw; only a hex screw driver is included. Oh, and you will need a second hex driver to hold one end of the screw in place while tightening down the other end of the screw at the top of the heater that keeps it from flopping downward.

I’ve been using this electric heater on my deck for a year & it hasn’t disappointed! It can be freezing outside & the heater puts out enough heat to keep me toasty. I can now spend all winter watching tv outside! The heat radius is also wide enough to reach where the dogs sleep , too! I am so satisfied that I recently bought one of East Oak’s propane heaters for when I entertain in the backyard. Highly recommend these products!

I purchased this heater for my garage. After 2 days, it quit working. Mind you, I only used it for a few minutes at a time, every hour or so. I requested an exchange. Received the new heater and the EXACT same thing happened. So discouraged because it is very big and heavy and I wouldn’t say easy to put together and disassemble. I will have to once again, box it up and return it.

I will caveat this 5 star review in that it is related to the wonderful customer service that East Oak offers. We bought this heater from Amazon about a year and half ago. The filament stopped working this past winter. We hadn’t used the heater all that often so we’re disappointed that it stopped working all of a sudden. We noticed the website had customer support so we reached out to them seeing if there was anything they could do. I was fully expecting the typical response that the product was out of warranty or something (call me jaded with customer service these days!!). Instead, we received a very prompt response asking for more details which we provided and it turned out they did not manufacture the one we bought anymore. However, they offered two different replacement options free of charge! We selected one of the options which they shipped to us. We set it up and it is working fine! Very impressed with the wonderful level of customer service and kind/prompt responses!!!

Solid portable heater and worth the price. Easy to assemble although no directions were included with our unit. We do not use for indoors. We use for an outside patio on it's stand so we can move/adjust. It delivers heat that can be felt up to 4-5 ft away if no wind/breeze.....if windy or breezy then only 1-2 ft. Only issue is when we turn the heater angle left/right or up/down while in use it shuts off. Not a big deal as you need to turn it back on. This could be a safety feature built in, but not sure as it does not say in the manual. It would be a greater source of heat if it had a small fan with a couple of speed options built in to push the heat out with some force which would help with heat delivery if there is a slight breeze/wind.

Two of us could not figure out how it was supposed to go together. It seems self explanatory until you see that the knob screw and the kotter pin don't actually fit where you think they should go. I mean, it works ok the way we did it, but I know it's done wrong, and we have pieces left over. Instructions would be helpful.
