Nerf N-Strike Barrel Break IX-2 Blaster - Sonic Series

This gun fits perfectly into my arsenal of N-Strike weapons. When selecting a weapon, I consider the rate of fire, ease of reload, ammo capacity and the mobility. On a scale of 1-10, here are the results:Rate of Fire 6/10 because of shooting 1 or 2 darts depending on trigger pullEase of reload 8/10 this gun reloads easily but takes about 10 seconds toAmmo capacity 4/10 two shots and then reloading is inconvenient when you are being chargedMobility 10/10 this gun is light and small but bigger than you would expect based on the pictureAll in all, this is my favorite nerf gun but depending on the mission, this may or may not be the right gun for you.

It’s a nerf gun. If you’re shopping for nerf guns there is a strong chance that you or whoever you’re shopping for will be happy with this one. It isn’t overly complicated to load or aim.

I got mine brand-new on Amazon for a price so low I don't think I should mention it here. It is a fun and collectible Nerf gun, but wouldn't recommend it over a Triad for a Nerf war. The design is unnecessarily complicated for small kids to operate, but it is a lot of fun for older kids. It operates like a more complex version of a double barrel shotgun... complete with a 'double-set' trigger. The reload time is looong, and it feels like little kids might break it trying to reload it. I like it, but I can only recommend it if you get it cheap. It was replaced in the Nerf line by the "Rough Cut 2X4", which is a more powerful "Elite" model that usually costs less, and has a completely different mechanism.

This was requested by my grandsons. In fact, after I said "yes" they placed the order. The gun is well made, takes bumps and drops without damage. The darts are soft and not hurt. I am pleased with the quality & my grandsons are "over the top".....a safe & attractive toy.

This is a fun blaster the gimmick work for what it's intended purpose. I won't be modifying this blaster so I don't know the potential that is has.

This nerf gun looks awesome but it has some design flaws. If you accidentally cock the gun more then once, you will cause the gun to jam. The only way to fix this is to open up the gun and let the spring loose. I almost lost some parts the first time I opened it up, but luckily I found all the springs. Buy it if you think it looks awesome, but not if you want to buy it for your child.

Awesome cool looking blaster. Performance is bad but loading darts into it and priming it is so cool and fun to do it. And it also matches with my sonic vulcan

I very much like this nerf gun. Even though the reload isn’t fast, it’s still a double barrel shotgun firing both at once. People complain about not a big capacity or slow reloads but if they complain about that, why did they buy it in the first place. Great value for money and I really like it
