Wired incorrectly
I installed this wire harness with a dual fan setup on my 03 sierra. After getting the fans turned on by my tuner, yes they worked, but the fans came on and were on high speed constantly. Found the majority of the wires were wired wrong on the kit. Low speed never came on with original setup. Also the low speed fan(left fan) quit working all together. Now I have to purchase a new fan motor to fix the one fan.

Simple to install and works perfect
Easy to install and was worth every penny. Did a E Fan swap on my 2000 silverado and boy did it free up hidden power a must do if you have a clutch fan

1yr after installing... Melted relay connector; engine overheated
Pay attention to the other reviews explaining what happened to them with this part -- it happened to me, as well. Worked well for about a year, until I took a +3hr highway drive with my truck. When I stopped for gas, the truck overheated (I left it running while fueling... yes, I know that's frowned upon).Got the truck home and found one of the three relay connectors melted, similar to another review on this product, which has a picture to illustrate. They explain in their review (which posted after I purchased this) that part of the harness uses thinner gauge wiring (which causes more electrical resistance, creating excess heat). The 40A inline fuses at this part of the connection were intact (didn't blow); the weak link was the relay housing (it also burned the corresponding +12V pin on the relay, which trashed the relay, and in turn killed the fans)Another reviewer indicates he observed the relays getting very hot. Likely the same issue as myself and the other person.Thankfully, I caught the coolant overheating before serious damage occurred to the engine or the rest of the truck. But I can't recommend this product. The only reason it lasted as long as it did is that I didn't drive this truck very far over the course of the past year. But as soon as I took a longer trip in it, it failed. Surprising, given that the fans normally don't run very much at highway speeds, anyway (especially if you duplicate GM's operating parameters when you flash the PCM). Buyer beware!

This harness is ok for the money if you are capable of modifying it to work properly.
Giving it 3 stars. Ordered this for my 2000 GMC Yukon SLT 5.3 that I did an Electric fan swap on. For the cost it's ok but required a lot of modifications to make it work. Most folks would be better off spending $150.00 for the Nelson harness.1) One ground wire is too short. I had to extend that wire.2) The white/green signal wires won't fit in the PCM harness due to how the pins were crimped. I had to repin those wires.3) Upon further inspection several of the contacts where the relays plug in were not fully seated and locked in the terminal s. So I had to fix 4 connections there.4) Becareful what advice you take on install. The White wire goes to Blue 42, The Green goes to Red 33. White wire is the signal wire that triggers activation based on coolant temp setting in PCM. The Green wire is the 12v trigger to run the fans when AC is on.This way gives you low/high speed dual fan operation just how GM sets them up. I set low speed to come in at 195 and high speed to come on at 210 degrees based around the factory thermostat temp.Hope this helps.
