My husband and I got this basketball hoop for our little kids. We secretly bought it for ourselves though. They wander off after about ten minutes and we end up playing well into the evening. So far this hoop has been well loved (aka beat on) and it has held up to the test of time. Love the height adjustment, as it works for us and for them. It came damaged, sliced spot in base. Company responded quickly and offered either return or discount, we chose discount. Hoop has started to lean forward slightly after months of play, maybe out faulty base. Just stuck a two by four under it and we were good to go again. If you’re like us, amature horse players then this is a good, reasonably priced option for you!

Just put this hoop together tonight so we’ll see how it withstands the elements and time…but wow!! We love this hoop!!! The joy on my kids faces when they could finally play with it! Omg- worth the back pain and hands aching putting it together. My help was my 7yo son (love him dearly), and a very strong neighbor for the last step of adding the final pole and backboard. I messed up the assembly a few times, directions a little unclear at times, but we figured it out. It took a total of 2.5 hours to put together. Probably faster with two saavy and strong adults. I’m just a mom trying to make my kids happy. Seems sturdy. Looks great. Very very happy with this purchase, and definitely recommend.

I purchased this 'Basketball Hoop Outdoor' hoping for some fun and exercise, but it's been nothing but a headache and a potential car insurance claim. Right from the start, it was clear this hoop is incredibly unstable. The entire structure wobbles excessively, even with the slightest breeze.The water tank base, which is supposed to provide stability, is a complete disaster. It leaks constantly, requiring me to refill it frequently. This not only makes it inconvenient but also poses a slipping hazard on my driveway.The worst part? This hoop has repeatedly fallen over during windy days, despite being filled with water. And yes, it's hit my car multiple times, causing dents and scratches. I'm constantly worried about it causing serious damageUpdate : great customer support

I spent so long looking for a hoop that was affordable yet sturdy enough. This one is great. The plastic does seem really weak around the base but the actual hoop is wonderful. My seven year old boy is using it on the lowest level, so we haven’t raised it yet, but so far so good!

Within 12 months the backboard cracked. 3 months later & it shatters. Customer has a 2 year warranty but says they will offer me $30 to go buy a new backboard. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS JUNK from this customer!!!

My son wanted a basketball hoop. He kept saying, that one is only x amount of dollars. This one is only x amount of dollars. I told him, if the hoop is cheap as in cost, it will not be very good. And we all know kids only want things now, without thinking about the long term. Which is why every child needs a "involved" mother AND father to teach them to be patient. If not, they become the spoiled and entitled people we see today. Sadly, this hoop was not as good as I thought it was going to be. It is good or little kids, or a simple game of shooting. But it is no where near heavy duty. I would recommend spending several hundred dollars if your looking for a real quality hoop. One that attaches in the ground. These come with cheap plastic bases that almost never hold the hoop. especially when the wind blows. You have to have extra weight, like sand bags or actual weights. And even doing that when it is warm outside, starts to mold the plastic down. The set comes with stabilizer bars. But offf course, they attach to the cheap plastic. They should at least thicken the plastic it attaches to and put metal rings around where the screw goes in. I would recommend a thick washer. In order to adjust the height, you have to turn the knob. This knob, is also responsible for holding the hoop up, and the knob is not very strong. So, the pole moves a bit. It should also have a hole that goes through the center with a metal 'L' bar that can slide through to make it more stable. In addition, due to the base, every time the ball comes down, it its the base and bounces in every direction. Very annoying. You can buy a piece that attaches to the hoop so the ball rolls away from it. The net stays pretty nice and is holding up. The back board is made of plastic and holds up well. This would be a ok hoop if they stabilized the pole better, gave it a stronger thicker base. As I said, this is good for just practice or a round of shooting games. That is about it. Sadly, made in china.

Spend the extra money and get a stronger hoop. Too flimsy. Luckily my kids are little so it will do fine for now but if your kids are older than 10 this hoop will not be good enough. Easy enough to put together but i would not recommend this product.
