Mascara ben nye White

It's pretty good, but not as white as expected and flakes off easily-- of course, I'm comparing it to the regular mascara I use. Stage makeup is a different animal anyway. It's really fun to wear but it takes about 3 layers to be noticeably white.

I bought this because I wear colored mascaras (blue, purple, green, etc) and it works as an awesome base coat to make the colors "pop" more. It's a thick consistency but goes on easy. I use a fiberized clear mascara first to thicken my lashes then I use the Ben Nye, then I use the color mascara. It does not run when it gets wet so you will need a really good eye makeup remover to get it off. The color is slightly off-white but to everyone else it will just look white. I even like to wear it as just a white mascara. I have not used it coloring my hair so I don't know how well it works with that.

I use this mascara under colored mascara like my blue chanel to make it pop more when I want it to be very noticeable.

I unscrewed the top of this mascara and the wand came out but left the brush, at least I assume it is a brush, inside the tube. I was sooooo disappointed. It will take more trouble than it is worth to return it and go through all the hassle. BUT, I managed to stick one of those disposable brushes into the top one day and applied the mascara. I DO LIKE the mascara itself. I hope the company I got this from through Amazon will send me another, because I deserve it. I just don't want to spend my life trying to get satisfaction for having to deal with this inferior application. I normally give a good review for things I buy and ignore the things that don't make it to my standards, but this time I am very disappointed.
