Cats are nuts for the taste!
I have my own cats and I also foster for several local organizations. Several months ago the food I normally feed them disappeared from shelves and I found out it was no longer being made. As cat owners know, suddenly switching foods can cause digestive upset, and that's exactly what happened. And then they refused to eat that kind, so I had to switch again. And again. Until Diamond! They are NUTS for this food and none of them have had any issues. It's not top-quality limited ingredient responsibly sourced food but it feeds a lot of otherwise homeless cats and is probably more budget-friendly for a ton of owners than a lot of alternatives, while providing better nutrition than the true budget cat foods. Plus at 40 lbs a bag, even with my current herd it's going to last a while! If your cats don't have any dietary restrictions otherwise, I'd say Diamond is a great middle-of-the-road food that even my pickiest cats adore.

Good nutrition, lack of specific flavoring
The value for the money is great, and truthfully I was skeptical at first because of the lack of specific flavoring and the "maintenance" part, but my cats are fairly active and they LOVE this food.My cats aren't always particular on their food, however, they also used to do well with the recommended portions I gave them until this food, now they want in the bag constantly! I don't know if that's because it digests quickly or they love the flavor, but it's keeping them healthy and active and that's what's important. Personally I've seen that the flavor more comes into play when you have picky cats or cats that don't adjust very quickly to new foods. The ingredients aren't the best but they're definitely not the worst, and the nutrition is very well portioned out for moderately active cats that love to run around for a couple hours then pass out for another 14 in my opinion. Overall, I would recommend this for anyone looking for a healthy, affordable option for their somewhat active cats.

Cats LOVE it!
I have 2 personal cats and at least 10 strays outside my home. Despite having grain in it, the cats LOVE IT! And since I switched to this, their fur coats have been super shiny and glossy. They've gained healthy weight, and it doesn't make them sick. I love this cat food and it's not badly priced either.

A Good Cat Food For What It Is - Feeding Feral or Barn Cats - Helping Them To Survive the Irresponsibility of Some Pet Owners.
This is a cat food of a category different from any other that I have ever purchased, used, or reviewed. This food does not contain the highest quality of ingredients, indeed there are many ingredients that you might prefer to omit from the diet of your pampered house kitty. However, this food has one tremendous, almost humanitarian advantage - it provides decent nutrition to the poor, abandoned, feral, and barn kitties that might otherwise have nothing much to eat at all.A friend of mine feeds enormous quantities of feral cats. She does this in a responsible manner, trapping the kitties to be neutered or spayed, with the younger kitties being rehomed by the local Humane Society. However, no matter how many she traps, no matter how many are rehomed, or sterilized, there are always too many poor little feral kitties - hungry, unkempt, and now facing the beginnings of another rough winter in New England.I purchase forty pounds of cat food per week, and she uses it to feed all of the wild, abandoned, and dumped kitties that inhabit the woods in our area. How people can just drive by, and throw their kitties out of the car, and then drive off again, I will never understand. But people do that, much, much too frequently to even be believed. With this decent.quality, and quite affordable cat food, many kitties will eat well and survive the winter. So, although I would not recommend this for a pampered house cat, I am grateful that Daimond is making it possible for so many poor kitties to make it through another rough winter. Until people learn to spay or neuter their pets, we will always be surrounded by the pathetic survivors of unwanted litters. If you can, use a humane trap and.catch those abandoned cats and dogs that you can, have then sterilized, and hope that a nice family will be found for them. Until the problem disappears, and I hold-out no great hopes for that occurring anytime soon, foods of this quality level are more than adequate for keeping a poor little kittie that never asked to be born and dumped, alive and fed throughout the winter.Support your local Humane Society, with their help, maybe this tragic situation of pet overpopulation can eventually be solved - in a kind, humane manner, and loving manner. Please spay or neuter your pets, and if at all possible - adopt a new fur-kid from your local shelter or Humane Society.

Its better, cats seem bored with it.
Update!!! As of today, 6/10/20 I have to say my cats wat it, but aren't at all excited with it. I purchased a bag of blue buffalo today & they seem to like it. We will see what happens long term.I'm still in the switching over phase having mixed my old in with some of this. But I had put a handful down to see if they would eat it. They all eat it with no issues. Mine are a bit picky. But I've had no issues so far. I used to work for a groomer who always touted Diamond to owners for their pets. Wanted to try for years. Amazon has a great price on it, so I figured I'd give it a try. They seem to enjoy it. Glad I made the switch!!!
